Toys and Games Reviews of Tiny Love Gymini - Black, White and RedCustomer Review: Actually 4.5 stars Summary: 5 Stars
My 5 month old daughter loves her Tiny Love Gymini Activity Gym. She had gotten it as a present from her Poppop, and since then I have attached more toys to it to make it more fun for her.At first when she got it she wasn't able to grab for the toys that hung from the gym, but was very interested in what was hanging over her head. Eventually she learned to bat at the toys and then she started grabbing on to them. One of the toys that comes with the gym makes music, although it doesn't play for very long and only plays one song (which is why I'm only giving this product 4.5 stars instead of a full 5, yet I thought it too good to get only 4). I also like that the top of the gym snaps apart so you can change the baby right on the mat. There is little assembly require and no batteries. Will keep your babies attention for more than just 5 minutes which is a bonus.
Customer Review: Awesome toy that can be customized! Summary: 4 Stars
The Gymini was given to us by a co-worker when my son was newborn. He really didn't start "getting into it" until he was about 3 months old. Now he absolutely loves it. When he was really little we would unsnap the crossbars and use the mat for tummy time. Now we have all of his favorite toys clipped to it.
When he was 3 months we used additional Fisher Price Linkadoos links to bring the toys down to where he could see and reach them. He really appreciated that, especially the mirror toy. When we put him on the mat we make sure he is looking into the mirror toy. It gets him excited to play with the other toys. Ours is customized with TinyLove and Linkadoos links and we hang any toy from it that is hangable. It is very versatile and completely customizable. Just do a little old-fashioned innovating and it can be made to please almost any child.
Customer Review: great no-frills baby toy gym Summary: 4 Stars
I'm a pediatric occupational therapist who works with infants and toddlers and I recommend toy gyms like this after using this one for my son. It's the best way I've found to work on swiping and batting at objects, a pre-cursor to reaching and grasping. I did get additional links to bring the toys closer to his level when he was on his back. Great for the all-important tummy time and easy to move around and keep free of pet hair. It became a special sitting spot once he could sit by himself, but before he could move onto his tummy and crawl around. It was the only toy-gym-type of toy we had and I wouldn't change anything if I had it to do over again. He used it from about 1 month to 7 months. It's simple but it works. Don't be sucked in by all the bells, whistles, music and lights...it's just razzle-dazzle and it wil drive you crazy before you know it!
Customer Review: Great "toy" for newborns/ infants... Summary: 4 Stars
My daughter is not quit 4 weeks old yet, but the is her first "toy" (she doesn't really play w/ anything yet.) We didn't buy one of these w/ our 1st daughter because it wasn't pretty to me, eventhough many people say infants love the contrast of black and white. Our new daughter was constantly staring at our white walls w/ my husbands red and black guitar hanging on the wall. So we decided she would probably like this product. She does. Although I agree it's a little pricy, it's worth it. Really if she only uses it for 3 month, that's only 10 dollars a month, which isn't that bad. It has a mirror hanging from it, and you can take the links from the other toys and interchange them to make the toys hang short or long. She likes to look at herself already! It's also good for tummy time, since the mat has black and white design too.
Customer Review: Fantastic! Summary: 5 Stars
This toy is great - both for baby, and for caregivers. It's very engaging for my son. It's also great for when I'm exhausted...I can put him on the mat and relax next to him - we have a ball!
It comes with some great toys. The soft musical toy is light enough for my young son to hold, and has a non-offensive, soft melody. The rattle is also lightweight, and is perfect for babies just learning to grasp toys. This gym has grown with my son, too, as I've attached more sophisticated toys to it as he becomes more able to play with them.
My son is a tummy-time-hater, and this mat also helps keep him happy while on his tummy.
In addition, this toy folds up and stores easily, helping reduce clutter in the home.
I highly recommend this toy! Best purchase I've made in a long time.
