Toys and Games Reviews of WALL-E Interactive WALL-E

Customer Review: Should do more for the price.
Summary: 3 Stars

This toy is very cute and my 3 year old loves it - he's a huge fan of Wall-E. But as an adult, I give it a far less superb review. It was given to my kid as a Christmas gift, and I'm very glad I didn't have to purchase it myself. For the price (around $30 when purchased) it doesn't do very much, in my opinion. The arms move, the head moves, his eyes light up (but they don't do that cute little up and down move like in the movie), and it responds to noises and sounds exactly like the Wall-E from the movie. But the good points pretty much stop there. The very least I would have hoped it would do was move around on its tracks a little by itself, but it doesn't. And considering my kids have quite a few toys that can move around on their own that were half the price of this toy, that's a big disappointment. It's definitely not worth the $60-$80 these merchants have priced it on Amazon. Perhaps he does do more when paired with Eve, but for a combined $60 I would hope the two of them dance and hold hands. Bottom line - my 3 year old is elated by it; mom and dad, not so much. Maybe my hopes were a bit high.

Customer Review: NOT a robot and NOT really built for kids and real play
Summary: 2 Stars

My son loves Wall-E and really wanted this toy, but be warned -- it is an "action figure" not a robot, meaning that your child will have to move it around and make it do stuff. All it does on its own is wave its arms and make a few noises. Still, my son enjoys playing with it.
My main problems with it is that it is not constructed for real world play. Within a week of getting it, Wall-E's "head" had snapped off its stalk. The wires were servered, so his eyes no longer light up. I was able to duct tape the head back on, but now Wall-E does even less than before. I think the manufacturer could have easily reinforced the neck assembly with some metal brackets to make it sturdier. Anyone who has kids could have told them that this was a weak point.
Given that these toys are expensive but not durable, if your child likes Wall-E you might be better off buying the cheapest version of the Wall-E action figures and skipping all the bells and whistles. Your kid's imagination can supply all the rest.

Customer Review: Great Toy! But, He Needs Interaction Eve To Be Complete!
Summary: 4 Stars

Interactive Wall-E is a fun toy. It looks and behaves exactly like the robot in the movie. Be aware, however, that it only rolls if you push it. The treads are not motorized. Everything else is automated. The only sound effect that is missing is the boot up sound for the Apple Computer...I guess there were trademark issues.

Also, this toy offers the most fun when it is paired with Interaction Eve. Wall-E and Eve talk to each other and add to the overall entertainment, plus Interactive Eve makes shooting sounds and also has a flying sound effect. They really were meant to be purchased as a pair, and you don't want Wall-E to feel lonely!! Both cost me $29.

I'd give this 5-stars except that I think my son would enjoy the toy more if it actually rolled on it's own. As noted by other reviewers, it's difficult to push the toy too. Otherwise, it's great!

Customer Review: Fantastic pal for our interactive Eve!
Summary: 5 Stars

We got Eve last Christmas for our daughter. It still is alive a year later so we decided to get this for our son. We took it out to play with it before wrapping to make sure it worked well and communicated with Eve. It is super cute and as expressive as Eve is. They do talk to each other with sayings from the movie; "Eeeeevahhhhh, Weaaalleeee" perfect!

The quality is just as good as Eve and I expect it to last a long time. I cant believe Eve still works over a year later. If Wall-E lasts as long it is one of the best we have ever purchased!

The tracks turn on the wheels and Wall-E is poseable. He is so much cheaper this year compared to last year. Very worth it in my opinion.

I will update this review after we play with it alot Christmas Day. For now I am very happy with this purchase and it completes the set.

Thank you for reading this little review, more to come!

Customer Review: Cute and fun for any Wall-E fan!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this toy for my son for Christmas, both of us being huge fans of the Wall-E movie. He has not stopped playing with it since. It feels like it could break if it was handled too roughly so I wouldn't recommend it for younger kids. The eyes light up and blink; and the arms and head move. It also says a couple lines from the film along with some sound effects. It's fun for the kids to talk to and have it talk back, although most of the phrases don't really count as conversation. It is also fun to watch it with the Eve toy I bought for my daughter.
I admit I was hoping it would be a little more interactive, it is not always as responsive as I would have liked, but for the price it is a cute toy, and has all the right catch phrases.
The sounds can get annoying after a little while, so you might want to limit how often you want it turned on. Still, it is an enjoyable toy for anyone who is a fan of the movie.
