Customer Review: Addictively Appealing
Summary: 5 Stars

From a simple idea comes a fascinating and addictive game for just about all ages. Your car needs to drive in a straight line off the board, but blocking your way is a number of other cars and trucks. These obstacles need to be moved to clear your path, a task that can look pretty simple but at times seems darn near impossible.

The starting position for each round is displayed on a set of cards which, incidentally, are stored in a drawer under the game board itself (very handy if you've got kids who are usually allergic to putting things away). The cards start off with easy set-ups at the Beginner stage and get progressively harder until you reach the Advanced stage. And for the hopelessly grid-locked, the solution for each set-up is given on the back of the card.

I bought this game for my 6 year old son and he has had no problems solving the beginner set-ups and has begun to progress to the harder stages. The trick comes in reducing the number of moves it takes to drive off the board. I've found myself up `til all hours of the night trying to manoeuvre my way out of a sticky situation and can attest to its addictive appeal.

Customer Review: Addicting Fun
Summary: 5 Stars

What a great idea, and so much logical fun. I purchased two of these for Christmas based on reviews on Amazon. I'd never seen the game before it was opened Christmas morning. While not an instant hit (my kids didn't know what it was), once the packaging box was open we were all scrambling for a turn. Because I'd also purchased one for my nephew, I took our opened game to our family gathering. My hope was that he'd be intrigued with ours and then happy with the one I purchased for him. Poor kid, I don't think he ever got a chance to play it before we exchanged gifts. His dad played with it, then grandpa, then dad again, then older brother, etc. We were together for six hours, and the game was being used for the duration. While the adults challenged each other on the Advanced cards, the kids thrilled themselves with the beginner and intermediate. We all enjoyed this game, and I'll be purchasing more in the future for birthday gifts. My only complaint is that there are not enough advanced cards in the game ( and some are too easy) for the adults. I am hoping to find additional packs with some more challenging tasks.

Customer Review: One of the best puzzle games ever!
Summary: 5 Stars

I love this game! I was introduced to it years ago, when I started my first job as a speech-language pathologist. It was included in my materials.

The awesomeness is that it is highly interesting to a wide age range, and can be adapted. For instance, the younger kids (preschool to 1st grade) can have fun just putting the pieces in to match the puzzle cards. The older kids love trying to figure the puzzles out - and when they can't, it becomes a following directions exercise!! Even giving the directions is problem solving, because they are coded: "QD2" means they move the car labelled Q down 2 spaces.

I use this frequently as a reward in therapy, and bought one for my own kids too. It is a pretty good fine motor game too, as the plastic cars are light and do knock over fairly easily for the careless fingers.

My only con...some of the plastic pieces don't match the colors on the puzzle cards very well.

Customer Review: Best toy purchase EVER!
Summary: 5 Stars

My daughter has ADHD as well as learning disabilities. Her occupational therapist recommended this game and used it in her sessions. Even at 9 years old, she was somehow able to go through all the levels of the game (something which most adults can't do).

I would have NEVER thought my ADHD child would love this game. I knew I did but she isn't someone who sits down and concentrates on anything. I don't know what makes this game special but it certainly accesses a part of her brain that other things don't.

Whether you or your child can go through all the levels, this game is worth the money. It teaches planning skills, critical thinking skills, spacial skills AND it is fun.

I think this is my best toy purchase EVER! It is not something that could be played in the car though--too many pieces. But it does have a travel bag so you can use it at your destination!

Customer Review: An addictive, wonderfully low-tech puzzle!
Summary: 5 Stars

I write software for a big networking company, have multiple computers at home, and dozens of computer games - and my wife and I keep on coming back to the charming, addictive simplicity of Traffic Jam! Binary Arts has done a real service to puzzle fans by both bringing back classic puzzles (such as a rework of the old 3x3 7-piece cube puzzle) and creating new ones - all in attractive packages. There is something that just feels good about having the puzzle pieces in your hands, and not on a computer screen. If you enjoy this as much as my wife and I, you may find yourself bringing this with you on the plane and to your vacations - one of my favorite pictures of my wife is her solving one of the Binary Arts puzzles on a hotel balcony on the west coast of Maui - beach, sunset, and ocean island views were all forgotten as we got hooked on their products!
