Toys and Games Reviews of ThinkFun Rush HourCustomer Review: Great for many Summary: 5 Stars
My 9-year old daughter and her two boy cousins who are 8 and 10 loved this game - and their grandfather loved it too. It was recommended by my daughter's vision therapist, to help integrate visual images with problem solving. Everyone who has played it enjoys it. You can choose the level of challenge you want, so it works well for a broad range of ages. I recommend it for kids and their parents and grandparents.
Customer Review: Hours of Fun Summary: 5 Stars
My eight year old son came home from school wanting this "game." It is really a mind challenging puzzle. He can sit for hours trying to get the "red car out." His older sisters, ages 11 and 13, also enjoy the challenge. One night, I even found my husband engrossed in the game. It really is for one person, I think, but my son plays it at school with a partner. If you like puzzles and challenges, this game is for you!
Customer Review: Great toy for kids of all ages! Summary: 5 Stars
We got this game for our son, who was four at the time, and even though it is recommended for ages eight and up, he has been able to do the beginning and intermediate levels. It's wonderful to find a toy they can spend hours playing, without them realizing how much they are learning. My husband and I have also enjoyed having a game to play with him that we don't tire of like so many games designed for this age.
Customer Review: This is a great game because you can play alone. Summary: 5 Stars
I love this game. It is educational and you have to use your mind to plan a strategy. It is a great gift for someone who is in the hospital or recovering because you can play it alone. So many games need a partner. I love the challenge as the cards get harder. It is a great game to have during our long winters. I'd like to get the railroad because it is a different layout and looks to be a good challenge.
Customer Review: Wonderful toy that is both educative and interesting Summary: 5 Stars
I am a father of a 5-year old. I bought this for my son and he started to play with at the easy level. He soon loved it and his skill improved in fast pace. Toys that train one's mind is not rare but it is difficult to find one that is appealing to the kids at the same time. Rush hour is one of the best. But on contrary to the maker's and amazon's comment, it should be recommended for kids as small as 5.
