Toys and Games Reviews of Think Fun Railroad Rush HourCustomer Review: Absolutely perfect game! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this game for my 7 year old who loves trains and thrives on puzzle solving. He quickly whipped through the jr. and beginner levels. The Intermediate has been challenging and I love to watch him concentrate and work his way through each card. My 5 year old daughter can do the jr. cards as well and when they aren't playing the correct way they are making up their own games with the train pieces! This game literally provides HOURS of fun. I've done a few myself and can't wait to play again. The whole set is very sturdy and durable. This is definitely one of our favorite games now. I am extremely pleased with this purchase!
Customer Review: Great Brain Bender Summary: 5 Stars
My son got this for his 5th birthday and we all like to play. We take turns setting it up and figuring it out. I thought it might be too hard for him at first, but if you start at the very easiest level, even the young kids can figure them out. The 5 year old hasn't gotten too far into the various puzzles, so he is still working on the easy ones, but he just glows each time he solves one! Such a good feeling! I sat alone with the game after the kids went to bed and worked my way halfway through the deck--kinda addictive, but lots of fun if you like challenging the way your mind works.
Customer Review: My son loves this game! Summary: 5 Stars
My 9 year old autistic son eats, sleeps, breaths and dreams about trains. I wasn't sure if this would suit him or not, but he has had more fun with it. He lines up the trains in order without the base and has even made them all fit on the base (with patience I might add). We showed him that the cards that come with it show you different ways to set up the board and how you are supposed to move the trains around to get the locomotive out of the rush hour. This game has limitless possibilities and lets the player use their imagination as well as play the game by the rules.
Customer Review: Teriffic fun, great value Summary: 5 Stars
This game really is great. My autistic 11-year-old gets a good mental challenge and feeling of accomplishment out of it, and I have fun as well. My only negative comment is regarding travel. We've taken it on many plane trips, and it's great because it fits in a small area to play as well as store, but it has a lot of small parts (duh! :-), and they are easy to lose track of when travelling. So be vigilant, and find all those train cars when putting it away! :-)
Customer Review: Not as fun as original Rush Hour, poor construction quality Summary: 2 Stars
The original Rush Hour is still much more fun. The only reason I had to buy this is my son is such a train freak. The puzzles are not as challenging overall, yet the difficulty level is a bit uneven in the four categories (junior, beginner, intermediate, advanced). Also, the build quality is poorer, as a few of the train pieces don't sit properly on the board, and the colors on the train pieces do not match those printed on the puzzle cards, a sore point for a young boy.
