Toys and Games Reviews of Cat in the Hat I Can Do That! Game

Customer Review: Fun for multiple ages!
Summary: 5 Stars

My daughters who are 4 1/2 and 6 1/2 got this for Christmas. We have played it twice so far. What a cute fun way to play a game. We all just love that you got up and moved while doing silly things. What kid doesn't like to be silly? The Trick-a-ma-stick is flimsy but it's supposed to be. My 6 year old discovered that if we spread the legs out a little bit further it stayed up well though it did still wobble. We wish there were a few more cards so each round would last a little longer and there would be a little more variation in actions to take. Overall, a great game!

Customer Review: A BIG disappointment!!
Summary: 2 Stars

We are a family of game-lovers...but this game is poorly made and did not hold my children's attention for more than about 10 minutes. We bought it two weeks ago and it hasn't come back out since the first day! The thing-a-ma-jig (whatever it's called!) that you have to crawl under is too small for adults, and even my children kept knocking it over because it is so lightweight and flimsy. I can't believe all of the awards this game has won! I don't see how the incredibly basic sequencing could possibly be considered educational since it was so easy for my 3-year-old.

Customer Review: Very Silly Fun
Summary: 5 Stars

This game was a natural pick for me since my daughter loves Dr. Seuss and the Cat In The Hat When given the chance to pick a book to read for bedtime, that one is picked very often. This came is loosely based on the book in terms of the props used.

This is a daytime game more than a game for the evening since it is so active and children can get a little wound up doing some of the things the cards present as what needs to be done. You may feel a little silly doing some of these things, but ultimatey it winds up as laughs and a great game to share.

Customer Review: Great game for young kids
Summary: 5 Stars

This cold time of year when we're stuck indoors so often, it's great to have lots of different games to play. We love this one. It's well-named: Our four-year old son gets ecstatic when he really can do almost all of the challenges the game prompts him to attempt. Our two-year old daughter and the three-year old girl we often babysit enjoy the game as well. It's a real lifesaver. I saw one review here that said this game is over too quickly, but that's never been our experience. Four year olds NEED move on quickly, so we think this game lasts just long enough.

Customer Review: A Big Hit At Our House!
Summary: 5 Stars

This game is frequently chosen for family game night around here. It gets everyone moving and the kids think it is hilarious! As someone who loved Cat in the Hat as a kid, the game is also just visually fun. Each piece is straight out of the book! Everything has held up great after many rounds. I love how the box closes up and you can store it without worrying about the lid falling off/open. We have a couple of the other Dr Seuss games in this series and they all see a lot action. Great for kids who have some energy or need some energy!
