Toys and Games Reviews of Cat in the Hat I Can Do That! Game

Customer Review: Great Toy for my ASD child!!
Summary: 5 Stars

This toy has become such a great therapy tool in our home. My 3-yr old is on the autism spectrum. It doesn't hurt that he is into the Dr. Seuss books, so this game completely helps me get into his world. Awesome for joint attention, imaginative play, and following directions. He started out just solo playing with the pieces, then we used them while reading the book, and now we have progressed to using the cards. We play it several times a day, and it is easy to adapt and switch up to keep things different. I am trying to not lose the pieces for when we finally start playing by the rules. This is by far the best toy my son recieved this Christmas.

Customer Review: Great fun for toddlers! FINALLY!
Summary: 4 Stars

We LOVE this game! Finally a game my 3-year old can play! This game is filled with so much silly, active fun, you can't help but to laugh when you play! It's also one of the very few games that a toddler can do. The ONLY thing that needs improvement is the little limbo-stick thingy. It falls apart constantly! Crawl under it, it falls apart. Jump over it, it falls apart. Walk around it, it falls over! I'm having my hubby make a replacement out of PVC pipe though since we LOVE this game. I would've given it 5 stars if this wasn't an issue...I would still highly reccommend this product, even with the one complaint I have, it's THAT much fun!

Customer Review: Great fun for youngsters!
Summary: 5 Stars

We bought this game for our son for Christmas, and 6 months later...he is still asking to play it almost everyday! This game is great for helping kids to follow a set of instructions with several steps. It will instill good listening skills and boost morale...Kids are encouraged to say, "I can do that!" And, it is just right, in my opinion, for the 4 to 6 year old...teaching them some new things, but not discouraging them by being too difficult.
My only qualm would be the flimsy construction of the "trick-a-ma-stick." You have to take it apart and put it back together with every play, and is not very sturdy at all.

Customer Review: Junk, DO NOT BUY
Summary: 1 Stars

Based on positive reviews, I purchased this game for my 4 year old daughter. She enjoyed the game well enough the first 2-3 times playing it, but the foam "trick a ma" stick that is a central part of the game was a piece of junk. After a few games, the thing wouldn't stand up at all, no matter how I reassmblemed it and tweaked it. Not only that, she was bored of it. (not to mention how boring I found it too).

I trashed the whole thing and she never missed it. Skip this toy! DO NOT BUY! Instead, try better games like Scene it Jr, Connect 4, Perfection, Hi-Ho Cherry O, Memory, Twister, or Going Fishing.

Customer Review: Great game for children toddler up to elementary school
Summary: 5 Stars

My toddlers loved this game and at Christmas time 2008 it was $5.99 for the game (now that it is Jan 09 it is up to $16.99) so I got a few games for presents. My nephew who is in 2nd grade played the game and on his own had to call me after to tell me how much fun he had with it. Be aware that this isn't a sit and watch the kids play game, your gonna want to/get asked to get involved, not because adult help is needed but because it just makes this game even more fun. It really is a game that is easy enough for kids but fun for all ages who are willing to get up and be active. A great game.
