My son is 2 and a half years old, and I can not even describe the amount of joy that this toy has brought into our house this holiday season. He loves the book, and waking up to see where his elf is hiding every morning! We live in a tiny apartment, and there are very few locations out of a destructive toddler's reach; but he doesn't seems to mind when the elf hides in the same spots again and again. My husband and I enjoy placing the elf in a new spot every night. It brings some Christmas cheer into the house this time of year, and my son's behavior has been better, too! This is the greatest...He just appeared one day at my house. My kids noticed right away (he was sitting high on a shelf). Then we found the book, and read it all. We named him "Jangels", they were soooo into this! Every morning they could wait to do all thier chores and then hurry to find the elf. It was great fun, and they were EXTRA GOOD becuase our Elf was watching all the time! And on Christmas Eve before he flew back to Santa they all said goodbye to him, sooo cute!! We got the activity book too, this would be great for any family or classroom! Really, really loved this, great tradition!!!Customer Review: We get it, it's a new tradition lol

We really love the little story and elf, it is so adorable and my 4yo daughter loves it. My only complaint is the way they beat into your head that it's going to be your new family tradition. A tradition is started when you do something fun and decide to do it again the next year, not when someone hands you a box with the words "your new family tradition" written all over it lol. At the end of the book they make you write down the day you start your new tradition. But even though that part is annoying, as a whole it is cute and we will use him again next year, we did name him Robert after all hehe :)Customer Review: Christmas Fun!

I think this is a genius way of reminding little ones that Santa is watching! Not only that but it is so much fun for the parents as well- we get to be creative with our elves! There are so many hiding places for our elf, and to watch my childrens's faces light up when they find him is great! Also if you have a shy child, like me, who doesn't ask for much they may tell your elf before you what they want for Christmas- that why our elf hides in common areas only! Overall I think this is a great way to have some magic put back into Christmas and I have bought it for a few other families as well!Customer Review: Very enjoyable for mother and child

I remember as a child that my grandmother had an elf that looked just like this one that was always nestled into her Christmas tree every year. When I saw this last year I knew I wanted to purchase one for my son and I to have so he would always remember just as I still do. I didn't find it until this year but I also purchased the activity book for us to use. We have done several of the activities so far and hopefully daddy will be able to join us and finish them up this weekend. This book has turned out to be one of our favorite Christmas stories as a family. I highly recommend this product.
