Toys and Games Reviews of Techno Source Rubik's RevolutionCustomer Review: Not rubiks cube but fun! Summary: 4 Stars
When my mother insisted she buy this for my 12 year old I couldn't understand what my daughter would do with it, she is not the type to sit down and try to figure out puzzles. Christmas time came and she ended up getting two of them. We opened one up and figured out that it wasn't puzzles at all but reflex testing to see who could light the lights up or turn them off the fastest. Immediately the whole family, ages 6 to 52, was having such a great time trying to outdo the other that we opened the second one too. It's a great way to get the whole family involved and have some fun. Since we do a lot of traveling this is going to be a great toy to bring in the car with us.
Customer Review: Not original, but still good Summary: 5 Stars
I was on vacation with my family and found both this item and a keychain version as well at a thrift store. As I only paid a couple of dollars for both, I figured it would be worth it to see how it went. The larger verion started working as soon as we turned it on, resulting in people arguing over who got to play it next. It is fun to play with solo, but it is also fun to see how high you can score on the single player games against your friends. I still haven't got the keychain version to work, even after changing the batteries. I am still satisfied with the regular sized version though, and would have bought it at a regular store for more money if I had seen it.
Customer Review: Great toy if you know what to expect! Summary: 5 Stars
i bought this as a gift for my 9 year old niece's birthday. she really really wanted one but the stores stopped selling them. I had seen this toy before so i knew what it was, so I knew it was NOT a rubik's cute. Not sure why it even has that name in it b/c the only similarity is that it looks like a rubik's cube.
anyway my niece loves it. she plays with it all the time. i saw some reviews that people gave it low stars b/c they were expecting something rubik's cube related. but since i knew what it was, it gets 5 starts for being exactly what i thought. maybe i should minus one star for the annoying sounds it makes :-)
Customer Review: GREAT TOY TO DEVELOP CHILD'S EYE AND HAND COORDINATION. Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased three (3) of these RUBIK'S REVOLUTION CUBE toys in December of 2008 as part of my Christmas gifts to my kids. I must admit, I was plesantly surprised at the rave reviews my kids aged 9, 8 and 4 years respectively gave this toy. What is even more instructive is the fact that before the Holidays were over, I, along with several of my adult friends had literally ambushed the kids and almost monopolized the use of their toy. It was immensely enjoyable and became surprisingly popular with my peers. As for my kids, I BOUGHT MY OWN IN JUNE OF THIS YEAR. I highly recommend this version of the RUBIK's CUBE.
Customer Review: Disappointed Summary: 2 Stars
Ok, I admit it. I did not really read much about this toy before I bought it. My 7 year old asked for it and I bought it. I guess I wanted to relive part of my youth from when the original Rubik's cube hit the stores. Unfortunately, this toy is nothing more than a light game. It does not rotate like the original. There is really nothing educational about it. It not really challenging. You just push the light that is blinking and hand it to the next person. And it is LOUD! I thought it was going to be a really cool, new version of the classic. Serves me right for not reading about it first.
