Customer Review: Happy Gunpla Starter

I've just started Gunpla, and frankly, figuring out which tools to get was a BIG headache. But after lots of searching (and not finding the Bandai G-Tools) I settled on this toolkit. It has most of the tools that the Bandai version has, plus more! This toolkit doesn't have the parts separator that the Bandai kit has, but it comes with both a phillips and a flat-head screwdriver, which if great care is taken, can act as a parts separator. This kit also has a craft knife, which the Bandai set doesn't.
I should state that I'm a big guy. I have big hands, and big fingers, so I'm a little concerned on the size of the tools. (My four fingers nearly cover the entire box!) But that would be the only reason I would rate this lower, and it's nothing that's really wrong with the toolkit, so I forgave them for that.
In the picture, you can see a purple plastic holder that the tools rest in. The one I got is transparent, which I frankly prefer. (Almost looks black.)
The clippers are amazing, even if they feel too small in my hands, but I'll get used to it. When I need to replace them, I'll buy a more expensive set of clippers. The file is actually coarser than the one I was using in the interim, but after giving it a try, I kinda like it better. The Tweezers are AA Stainless Steel, which will be nice when I get into wet transfer decals. The craft knife is the kind with a break-away blade, so when the blade gets dull, I can just break it off and have a new blade. And when I run out, I can run down to Lowes or Home Depot and get a replacement. Haven't used the screwdrivers yet, but they seem to be sturdy and will be a big help when I need to use them.
Overall, I'm very pleased with this kit and I look forwards to assembling a great many Gunpla with them!
