Toys and Games Reviews of Super Soaker Max Infusion Flash Flood Water Blaster

Customer Review: A Pretty Decent Gun
Summary: 5 Stars

I got this gun about ten days ago and it is pretty good. I think it is pretty light as far as super soakers go at around 3 pounds, which is a real plus when carrying. The regular stream will go roughly 32 feet at a 20 degree angle, and if pointed straight towards the horizon it will go as far as the width of a three car driveway. The stream is medium strenth, strong enough to easily drench a soaker tag and send the opponent running, but weak enough to be little kid safe.
The flash flood, this guns main feature is probably one of the more usful specials of all the super soakers, easily out matching the cold stream of arctic shock and the the weak but long lasting beam of the aqua pack gun. the range of the flood at any angle is 25-30 feet. This shotgun- stlye does NOT need perchice aiming as it spreads 2-3 feet wide and can soak a person fully that is roughly 5 feet tall. The flood power is less thanthe regular beam, but thouroly soaks them just the same. It has two sections, the top one the pressure chamber on top and the tank on bottom that holds more than a quart of water. This gun and the Arctic shock are the two guns that need max infusion the least. A full tank is enough to launch 2 or 3 flash flood with regular squirts in between.
In a water war this gunis the best secret weapon. you can hold of enemies fairly wellwhile your team is refilling. If you use this gun as a regular weapon, it works great too. Also, its large mass acts as a good shield.
This has to have been the best gun I've ever had. Be gentle with this gun and it will probably last a good amount of time, But most importantly, Have Fun!

Customer Review: Fun - for a bit
Summary: 3 Stars

I bought these for my siblings, 4, 6 and 8, for Christmas.

They are big guns. The 4 year old has a hard time, but manages to have fun. The other two have no problem pushing the trigger, but doing the flash flood function (which is cool, like a blast from a garden hose on steroids all of a sudden, all at once) is difficult for them. You have to pull it back quick and it does have some resistance that even I (25 yr old male) have a little trouble with.

The spraying is fun, and it generally does stay strong until the end, but after giving in to the temptation to flash flood a couple of times, you are out of water and out of pressure.

Another thing: the kids can barely pump these things to the degree they would need to. I am no hulk, but I pump these things as many times as I can before getting resistance and it does not last the whole tank of water.

The good thing though is that these are consistently attractive toys, however difficult it may be to keep them pumped, filled and ready for play.

I would highly recommend getting the water expansion bag thing (lets you have more water over your shoulder).

All in all, we got this from amazon for half off regular price during the holidays (some weird one day only thing) and for that (seven bucks) it was worth it by far.

We like, really like, but do not love, these guns.

Customer Review: One of the Best High-Power Guns Of It's Time
Summary: 5 Stars

I think the Max-Infusion Flash-Flood is one of the most durable water guns you can get nowadays. It is almost unstoppable at close range, but must be used wisely, because it does not make a very good sheild against anyone with a good aim, and has a shorter range than others. Also, I am always in a water fight somewhere, and i can tear apart someone with a Flash-Flood at long range.
I agree with that other guy about how the old water guns are much ore powerful, for I have two of the old ones, and the smaller of the two holds at least twice as much water as any of the newer ones. You can still get the old ones at certain stores, but one that I have I don't think anyone will ever find it in a store again. it was a regular Tank of a water gun, holding I think up to 15 gallons of water, when filled, however, it weighed a ton, but had such a long range that you never really had to carry it far.
Although they aren't in stores anymore, there is a way to match that capacity and power. If your water fight is close-range, you can attach the hose to your "Easyfill Cap" with packing tape ahead of time. But never turn the hose on full-blast, because it could over-pressurize the inside of the gun and break it. With this advantage, a Flash-Flood could win any close-range fight easy, almost matching the power and capacity of the Old Guns.

Customer Review: the best current super soaker you can get !!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I tried to use the normal review but amazon wouldnt let me for some reason, anyway.iv'e had this gun for almost a year.THIS IS THE BEST GUN YOU CAN CURRENTLY GET!!!!!it has good range, carries a decent amount of water, and has an awsome shotgun/ grenadelauncher thing that shoots out a huge amount of water. It is one of my favorite super soakers.

the only problem you might have while fighting is that after you shoot the flash flood tank you are vunerable for a few seconds until you can get enough pressure to start shooting again. It also chews up ammo fast which is why you should get one of the extra watter packs.a good alternitave is to carry around a large watter bottle, although you cant refil right away and it takes longer its better than having to run back to a hose to refil.

one feture i love is the special cap which means you dont have to screw off the cap to refil you only have to push it down, good for quick refils. As i said before this is the best gun. if you want the best get the flash flood!!!

Customer Review: An XP-70 With A Shotgun On Top! AWESOME!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Iv'e owned this thing for half a year, and even though it's December, I still go outside and shoot things in the yard with it! It has the range of an XP-70 (which I also own and is great), but it has a shotgun on top! Yes, its true, this thing rocks! Believe me! Its durable, too. Iv'e dropped it MANY times, and it still works perfectly! The only thing that I might find a little wrong with this water gun, is that the water tank, though it is very large, runs out relatively quickly. In all, I think this thing rocks, and is a great addition to any water gun collection/arsenal. If you can't afford it, get an XP-70, it has a great range, its lightweight, and it shoots just as far as the Flash-Flood. But I think if I had to choose from the two in a super soaker fight, I'd take the Flash-Flood over the XP-70. The XP-70 is just as good, but it doesn't have the flood feature. Well, there ya' go. Thats what I had to say!
