Toys and Games Reviews of Step2 Push Around Buggy (Red)Customer Review: Nice stroller replacement Summary: 5 Stars
My son (21 mnth) will not sit in the stroller, so we had to think of an alternative. This car works great. He loves the steering wheel and and the horn. It makes him feel more in control, and he stays in the car much longer.
Pros:
1. Light and compact. Easily fits in the trunk and leaves room for other stuff too.
2. Seat belts (need I say more).
3. Trunk. My sone loves to stash a toy in it.
4. Easy to turn in the stores.
Cons:
1. Compact. My son is an avarage size, but I do think that he will grow out of it before he is 3 (the upper ager set by the manufacturer). But still see point 1 in Pros.
2. It would by nice if trunk opened the other way, so it is easier for my son to reach while seated.
3. The tires are a bit noisy, but I have heard worse
As a last note, the matter of the pin. I agree that it is hard to set the first few times, but it gets a lot easier with use. I can do it myself witout a problem.
Customer Review: Great Item Summary: 5 Stars
I went visiting to a friends house who has a 13 month old little girl. I soon noticed that my son was very interested in her little pink push buggy. He climbed right in and was thrilled to be pushed around the yard in it almost all day. He also enjoyed pushing his little friend around in it. I decided to purchase one for him at my local toys r us store the next day. Imagine my surprise at the too good to be true pricetag. This item is very well made and sturdy. It has a great little storage section under the front hood. I bring this car practically everywhere with us to block parties, fairs, the mall, the supermarket and for walks around the neighborhood. my son just loves to be in his little car which is a real score for us because he has started to hate the idea of being in a stroller so this is a nice alternative. You can't tell from the picture but it also comes with a great safety strap. At this price as compared to other push toys this item is too good to pass up.
Customer Review: Push Around Buggy Review Summary: 3 Stars
When our granddaughter (7 mo) had to go to the hospital for surgery, the Children's Hospital had a push around buggy on the children's floor. Our granddaughter loved to go for rides around the big hallway. When we stopped she would wiggle around in the buggy to make to go again. When she came home, I ordered one of these buggies for her. Everytime she sees the buggy she gets excited and wants to go for a ride. I don't see the educational value of the product, but I certainly did see the entertainment value. Saralina, our granddaughter, loves the buggy. She is too small to beep the horn, but she does love the ride and the steering wheel.
The product was inexpensive ($35) and provided hours of entertainment. If you went out for dinner, you could spend that much money per person, and not get as much enjoyment out of the product. It was entertainment value for us, the grandparents, and the parents, too. Value is perception, and we perceived it to be a great toy.
Customer Review: Love Love Love this car! Summary: 5 Stars
We recently purchased this toy for our daughter who is about to turn one year old.
My little girl gets bored sitting in the stroller. But she LOVES riding in her car. So this is a Godsend for us to go on walks or just run errands. We can take her out in this car and she laughs and giggles and waves at people as she "drives" along. The trunk space in the front is larger than I expected and will hold the things we need for her along with my keys and phone.
The handle is a comfortable height for both of us to push and everywhere we go other kids rush to play on it too. We had a hard time getting our friends' 3 year old out of it!
We are using the car now as we would a stroller. Sure, there's not as much storage space or a cupholder, but our little girl is happy and smiling. It also gets attention as she rolls along, much more than in a regular stroller, and our little one thrives on the extra smiles and waves she gets from other people walking by.
Customer Review: Fun for your little guy or gal! Summary: 4 Stars
We got this for my son for walks around the neighborhood as a change from his stroller. He really likes riding in it and "steering" the car. The hood is great for taking snacks/toys with us and it is very sturdy. As other reviewers have mentioned though, it is very loud on the pavement. Not really a problem during the day, but it has ruled out our night walks. The decals and everything look brand new and we have had this for over a year now. The handle seems a little flimsy, but definetly does the job. We thought we were going to be able to take the handle off and he would be able to push himself around when he got bigger, but the siderails keep him from touching the ground (this is a good thing when going for a walk, but bad for him using it on it's own.) Great deal for the price, but you may also want to consider the the Little Tykes cozy convertible is you are looking for something they can use on their own (The floorboards are removable.) Hope this helps!
