Toys and Games Reviews of Step2 Naturally Playful SandboxCustomer Review: matches play house but not worth the price! Summary: 5 Stars
I thought this sandbox was overpriced from the start but I found it onsale on-line and I was ordering the play house then and since they matched I ordered the sandbox as well. It was one of the biggest sandboxes I could find and liked the idea of more play room! This is not on display at any local sores and if it was I would never have gotten it. The plastic is very thin and dents in overy easy. the dents do pop back out but for the price I expected it to be heavy plastic, the small crab/turtle boxes are much more sturdy then this! I am not happy with the quality at all but my daughter loves this sandbox and thinks it looks like part of a castle. As long as she is happy with it the sandbox will stay!
Customer Review: Even fairly comfy for mom's big booty! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for my daughter's 2nd birthday, not to use as a sandbox, but as a pool. She decided the big pool was just too scary, so I thought this would be a nice alternative. I put her in her bathing suit and I sat on one of the corners while she splashed about. I weighed about 180 at the time, so its' durability is no question. I really didn't want to pay so much for a sandbox, even though I really really liked the rectangular shape and tasteful color... but when she got a gift certificate from grandma, this was the first thing I got! She is really enthusiastic about swimming this year, so I think she'll get a big bag of playsand and a Tonka dumptruck for her 3rd birthday!
Customer Review: Very cute, but very TINY Summary: 3 Stars
This is a very nice looking sandbox. However, it is TINY! I liked the idea of getting this box because it was less "permanent" than a large wooden box which would really be more trouble than it's worth to move around the yard. However, my son is only a year old and by the time he sits in it there is barely enough room to make a small castle. This being the case, he's found that it's much more fun to sit in the sandbox and build a castle on the lawn, where there is more room. (I can't say I balme him, there is just no room to play in the box at all.) Needless to say there is sand everywhere and we're returning this sandbox to buy wooden planks to build our own "bigger" box.
Customer Review: FUN FUN FUN Summary: 5 Stars
Bought this for my daughters 1st birthday. My 1 year old and 2 year old LOVE it! Everytime we go outside both of them want to play in the sand box. Keeps them busy, and sand is great for their sensory development.
At her birthday all the kids LOVED the toy box. It can fit 2 year olds comfortably, more then that is pushing it a bit.. but some kids sat in thebox, some sat outside and still played well in it. A great purchase, adn I love the style. Not such an eye sore as the big turles or crabs.
I was pleasantly surprised at how the sand stays dry with the cover on. We have had rain for about 2 weeks straight (heavy rains) and there isnt a drop of water inside it.
Customer Review: Great sandbox Summary: 5 Stars
I love this sandbox. We had bought the turtle one a few years ago and for 1 child it was fine. Now we have another and the two of them together in the little box is a nightmare! So I bought this one (biggest one I could find) and I liked it immediately since it was no longer an eye sore from the street. It blends right in with the yard instead of being this huge green lump sticking out like a sore thumb. They both fit in this one & have room to move around so it has cut the fighting in half (well maybe more like 40%). It can hold more toys and is deep enough to bury every one of the Justice League. I highly recommend this to anyone that has more than 1 child.
