CRABBIE SANDBOX
My husband and I purchased this sand box for our grand-daughter for her third birthday. She absolutely loves it! She has named him Crabbie Crab and spends hours of fun in the sun in her new friend.
This sandbox is sturdy and durable. It holds approximately 300 pounds of sand. My daughter placed the sand box on their large concrete patio, tucked nicely in the corner. It's not only a great sand box but a super conversation piece! Everyone loves those eyes!!!!!!!
The lid is strong and fits nicely. No problems with the lid coming off during thunderstorms or windy days. And Crabbie Crab's goo-goo googly eyes are a big hit with our little Paige. He 'watches' her ride her bike, write with chalk, and play in her little pool. The sides are also hardy enough for little bottoms to sit and enjoy.
All in all, this is one of the best investments we have made toy-wise for our grand-daughter. Not only does it provide her with the joy of playing in the sand, making mud, and just plain getting dirty, it also stimulates her further education by simply filling buckets with sand, making different shapes in the sand, and putting away her utensils when done playing.
We shopped and looked at many different types of sandboxes. This is the best one out there.

Climb into this sandy, crab-shaped play area for hours of outdoor fun. With two big "claw" seats, the Crabby Sandbox is shaped just like a big red crab. The sculptured shell lid protects the sand from weather, debris, or pets. Holds up to 300 pounds of sand. Sand and sand toys sold separately. Measures approximately 47" x 47.75" x 16".Kids won't get pinched in this plastic sandbox, even though it's designed to look like a big crab. Its somewhat rounded shape takes up a space that measures 4 by 4 feet (and the inside space measures just over 3 by 3 feet), and it holds up to 300 pounds of play sand. Both the box and the matching sculpted lid (or shell) are molded from single pieces of red plastic. At the front, the big tucked-in claws frame two crabbily prominent white eyes. There's no drain hole, so be sure to put on that shell when it rains. --Richard Farr
