My husband, son, and I saw this playhouse in Wal-mart yesterday. I let my 13 month old son play in it and I had to drag him out kicking and screaming when it was time to leave. We would have purchased the playhouse there but the display was all they had left and the phone was missing, the sink wasn't attached, and all of the stickers were gone. So, when we got home, I called every Wal-mart store with in a 100 mile radius of my house. Finally, after an hour or so on the phone, I found one about 30 miles away. We got there thinking that we would have to pay the full price of $139. When we went to check out, it rang up at $100. They said that it was on clearance because it was out of season. We were so happy! My husband just put it together tonight and it only took him 15 minutes. My son was so happy. I recommend this to everyone. Even at full price, it is well worth it. My son loves the phone and the windows that open and shut. I love the flooring. It keeps the dirt and bugs out. I am a little worried about him leaning on the door and falling out but I watch him closely to prevent any accidents. Anyway, your kid will love it too, I'm sure =)Customer Review: Neat n Tidy almost perfect

I recently purchased this playhouse for my two year old twins after much deliberation. I loved that it was a small playhouse, but worried it would be so small that they would outgrow it next year. Now that I have it set up in my backyard (easy!), I see that it will last them a couple of years. They absolutely love to play in and around it, and I love that I can see into the house and watch them as they role play. However, I have two problems with it:
1) You need a large vehicle to get it home. The whole bottom third of the house comes in one big section (not in panels as most). I had to remove the pieces from the box and jam the large section into my trunk. Then proceeded to drive very very slowly the three miles home.
2) The phone that is included is hard for kids (in the targeted age group)to hang up. My solution was to snap off the "receiver" and put velcro tape on both the phone and inside of the house, so now my kids just stick it back into place.
All in all, a great play house!

I got this cottage for my 14 month old daughter and she LOVES it. We keep it in the house and our daughter is in it every chance she gets. She likes to sit on the pre-made chairs and eats snacks on the little table, she also loves to talk on the included telephone which is too cute!!! For the price, this house is a great buy and she will be able to use if for a few more years.
I was a little nervous about buying something so large on-line because I was afraid it would arrive broken but it arrived fast and in perfect condition and the free shipping from Amazon is such a great deal!!!
The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because the flooring inside has deep grooves and if your little one is bare footed and playing in it for long periods, it can be painful on the feet. I resolved this issue by going to the home store and buying a small grey bathroom rug to match and pad the flooring. Now its more than perfect and we LOVE it!!!

I JUST BOUGHT THIS PLAY HOUSE FOR MY 2 YEAR OLD TWIN DAUGHTERS. I LOOKED AROUND AT LARGER AND MORE EXPENSIVE ONES, BUT SETTLED ON THIS ONE FOR A COUPLE OF REASONS.
* IT'S JUST THE RIGHT SIZE FOR A PLAY HOUSE. MY GIRLS ALREADY HAVE A PLAY KITCHEN AND A TABLE AND CHAIRS ETC. TO PLAY WITH SO I WANTED A PLAY HOUSE THAT WAS JUST A PLAY HOUSE. THIS ONE MAY NOT HAVE A LOT OF "EXTRA" FEATURES BUT IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A STANDARD PLAY HOUSE, IT'S GREAT. THE KITCHEN AREA IS BASICALLY JUST A SMALL SINK AND 2 LITTLE STOOLS.
* THE BUILT IN FLOOR IS AN AWESOME FEATURE!
* THE OPENNESS OF IT IS GREAT AND A GOOD SAFETY FEATURE TOO.
* THE PRICE CAN'T BE BEAT.
OVERALL: IF YOUR KIDS HAVE A LOT OF OTHER "PRETEND" TOYS ALREADY, THIS HOUSE IS PERFECT. IT'S JUST ENOUGH TO KEEP THEM ENTERTAINED. IF YOU'RE LOOKING TO MAKE A BIG INVESTMENT ON SOMETHING WITH A LARGE KITCHEN AREA AND LOTS OF ROOM FOR PRETEND PLAY - THEN THIS ONE IS NOT FOR YOU.

This house is great! we got it as a christmas gift for my 19m daughter. She absolutely loved it! It was the only gift she "opened" on Christmas day. She woke up the next night at 3 am bleary-eyed- asking "playhouse?" she was so excited about it.
The only problem is that assembly is not as easy as it says. It is not a "click" together house. You need an electric screwdriver to go into the plastic as there are no pre-drilled holes. My family played poker on christmas eve with the first two people out having to assemble the house... luckily I didn't lose! But boy was my sis mad!!! It took her all night (plus some help!) since she didn't know how to use the electric drill. But once she got it up- it has been great. The only catch is- we are going to have to take it apart to get it outside in the spring. oh well! It's still a lot of fun for her!
