Toys and Games Reviews of 101 Piece Play Food AssortmentCustomer Review: Not like other plastic food sets Summary: 3 Stars
Although I read the mixed reviews, I still bought this product thinking that I knew I was getting myself into. Unlike other people, I didn't care about cans or cardboard boxes. I just wanted plastic food for my daughter's kitchen. I had purchased a tiny basket with food before from Walmart and I was satisfied with it, I just wanted more than fruit. That's why I bought this. But the pieces are hard plastic and I prefer soft plastic. But it does serve it's purpose.
Customer Review: Food Galore Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this product for my 6 year old grandaughter. Her family is military and she has lost most of her play food items in their moves around the world. My only concern is that with that many pieces, the items might be too small. Like doll house sized. They are not! They are not flimsy thin plastic either. There is a wide variety of food items in the selection and they are well colored and easily recognizable. It's a great value for the price.
Customer Review: Fun food Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for my two year old son to go along with his new kitchen. He absolutely loves to play with the food and pretend to eat it. It has been fairly educational as well because he is asking me what each food is so he is learning about different foods. The only down side to this product is that they are kinda small pieces however, I think they are perfect for little hands. I would recommend this to any of my friends with small kids.
Customer Review: Fun for kids but NOT safe Summary: 2 Stars
My only issue with this set is the size and shape of many of the items. The hotdogs are the same size as a child's throat. Same with the sushi. There are quite a few items in this kit that could easily block a child's breathing airways- especially since it is play food and I'm certain many children will put it in their mouths. We went through it and pulled out the items we thought were dangerous.
Customer Review: A lot of Food for the Money! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this set of food to go with my 2 year old daughter's play kitchen. There was so much food that I keep some of it tucked away. When my younger son turned 1 he started to chew on everything, so the pretzels and soy sauce got a little scratched up, so keep away from the younger one's. I just separated the smaller pieces and hard plastic ones until my son got older.
