I have an almost 2 yr. old alpha male, I bought him this set, because he loves to pretend to make food... It's not at all what the picture shows, no cans, no boxes, instead there are common plastic food items like the banana, apple, grapes, and doughnuts. Also, there are some funny random off the wall items like sushi rolls, pasta, tofu (I think) and eggs, in the shell and sunnyside up. It's play food, and it's totally cute fun play food, my son looks forward to making breakfast in the morning bacon included!Customer Review: labels that are familiar

This play food set has cans and boxes with labels that are real brands that your child could be familiar with. The boxes are a pretty heavy cardboard, pretty durable unless you have a child that likes to chew cardboard. Luckily my son does not, but his little friend does, so I put clear tape around all the labels on the cans to keep them a little more secure. The food is great, although some of the sizes just don't match up (orange the same size as a head of lettuce). I would recomend this set to others.Customer Review: Not as great as it looks

Ok, I don't know if they just made a mistake with my order or what but my set did not have near as much stuff as pictured. It may have had 101 pieces, but only because they doubled and tripled the same item. I did not receive any of the jars or boxes of anything, just food. But anyway, my four year old and almost two year old enjoy the set, and don't seem to mind what it lacks. I guess it's worth the money, considering it's so cheap, but I would definitely explore other options as well before ordering.Customer Review: Play food

The play food that was delivered did not match the picture, absolutely no cans or boxes in the package. A lot of duplicated food items and while the plastic is mid-grade on the fruits and vegatables the other food items are a hard two dimenional product (no bottoms). I wouldn't recommend this item because it it the one I was trying to stay away from. I wanted more realistic play food that was better constructed; overpriced and would have bought a discount stores brand over this item.Customer Review: very detailed

My 16 month old loves her new groceries. The produce & sandwich parts are plastic & each piece has a wonderful texture. The canned goods are very interesting to read. They are actually labeled by a supermarket in the UK, so they are a bit different from the groceries you would find in the US. I put the cardboard frozen food items away until she is older. She has been entertained at length because each piece is so intricate. This was a great purchase.
