I bought the item for Christmas for my 5 year old daughter. We opened up the box and assembled it with no problem. My only complaint is that it would seem that for paying this much you should get a few more Pixos than what is provided. She was able to do about three projects and was already running out of certain colors. As far as the directions go...they are misleading...it says that it will dry in about 15 minutes. I found this to be completely inaccurate. We ended up letting the design dry overnight and it held together perfectly. Overall my daughter is very happy with it.I'm not thrilled that I already have to buy replacement Pixos but it's worth it if she's happy. Now all we have to do is wait for the replacement Pixos to arrive from Amazon so she can play with it again.Customer Review: Pixos don't stand a chance

My son and daughter spent their birthday money on this "fun" craft activity. They both LOVE to do crafts, so we have lots of different products at home. They thought this one would be just as great. However, according to my daughter, "Pixos stink. They fall apart every time you take them out of the tray. I tried the same design twice and they both broke. However, I made a little dog and it worked. I dropped it by accident and one bead fell off. We glued it back on. You would have to use glue to connect the beads that don't stick." My son says, " I like Pixos because it's fun to put the beads together. I like the tower and the pen. But, they don't stick together and my creations keep breaking. It would be a great toy if they didn't fall apart."Customer Review: room for inprovment

My 5 year old daughter wanted this toy for Christmas so bad it was all she was asking for and I almost did not buy it because of some of the reviews I read on Amazon. I am so glad that I did because my daughter is enjoying it so much along with her twin brother. I went down to the dollar store and was able to find a great container to keep all of the beads organized and as far as the fan drying to slowly I just use a small house fan that we already had. It is easy to place the beads into the top of the Spin Master so I am glad that we went with the spin master and not the pen as I feel that would be too hard for my kids to get the beads into. The Spin Master is over all a good toy with some small flaws that could easily be overcome.Customer Review: Not worth the time or money....inadequate and faulty design

I strongly do not recommend buying the Spin Master PixOs Super Studio. The spinning tray immediately gets jammed and the beads get stuck under the storage unit and there is no way to remove them. I do not understand how did this ever get on the market it is designed so poorly. (I guess the Aqua Dots people have done it again with their unethical behavior!!!! Remember this product was recalled in November 2007 in the USA due to toxic chemicals being placed in the dots. Now it is rebranded under the name Pixos.) Once you have made the figure it falls apart. My son wanted it for his 5th birthday and I had to immediately return it to Target the next day. The total cost for the toy was $[...] including tax. I did not wanna buy this toy but my son begged me and spent his birthday money on it. My son took it out of the box and tried to get the wrapping off of it. He had a hard time and the tube broke. Now we can never get the balls to come out of the tube. We must use our fingers to put pictures together. The pixos take too long to dry and they dont stay stuck together. They break apart easily. If anyone bumps the table the pixos fall apart and your picture is gone. I knew that I didnt wanna buy this toy. If it wasnt for my son wanting it, I would have stayed away. Maybe you should try to convince your kid to stay away so you dont make the mistake as I have as a parent. This product should have cost [...]. It is so cheapily made.
