My daughter asked for this for Christmas and Santa brought it. She was so excited to make the castles as shown on the box. It was not even close with my help. It is not enough sand and it falls apart easily. The sand mixes all together of course and she wanted it to be seperated. It would help if the mat were bigger and you had sections for each color or something. It was a waste of money.Customer Review: Messy but fun

I bought this for my 8 yr old son who saw this on TV and just had to have it for Christmas. The sand is fun kind of messy but lacks what is supposedly does in the commercial which is stick together. He tried the molding kit but it would not stay together no matter what which is not how the commercial shows it. If you don't mind the sand and mess it's a fun toy to have but nothing more.Customer Review: An unequivocal nightmare.

Read the other reviews here about the mess and believe them. I guarantee you if your kids play with this you'll have it in every corner of the house within an hour, and my kids are NOT messy. It just gets tracked everywhere (unless you set up a quarantine area... Great on hardwood floors too! Strips the polyurethane right off. And plan on an hour of clean-up time. My kids love their moon sand they got for Christmas. They do get frustrated trying to mold stuff, because the sand isn't as "sticky" as it looks in the ads. The other thing is that it does fall apart easily, leaving slightly gummy sand EVERYWHERE. Be prepared for a mess, and don't let them anywhere near carpet with it while they're playing. This toy is cool, my son likes it and it comes with a little mat to hold the sand as seen in the product image. However those kids don't come with it and the ones I have are not that clean and neat so it really gets all over the place like Playdough. Anyway its an ok toy, severs its purpose of fun but its now an outside toy because I can't get it out of my carpet.
