Customer Review: Fun for a young girl

My daughter received her first Fur Berry Friend on her 5th birthday and enjoyed the DVD that came with it. As a result, she requested the others that were pictured on the box (there are 4). She had some trouble expanding the doll from the ball into the animal. You have to stretch it until it locks into the open position, which she couldn't do at first but is not a problem now that she is a little bit older. The dolls are scented (similar to Strawberry Shortcake dolls), although when she received the Peach Berry, it did not have any scent when it arrived.
This toy is a soft covering over a hard plastic surface, so it is not a soft and cuddly stuffed animal. This is not a complaint and it doesn't affect how my daughter plays with it, just an observation in case it's not apparent from looking at its picture. They are cute, bright, and durable, and my daughter was very excited to receive this to add to her collection. I have a child who loves her stuffed animals and plays with them. If your child prefers things that "do something" and ignores their stuffed animals, this might not be the best choice.
