I bought this for my 2 sons figuring it would be a fun way to have them easily cast the line and fish. Within 2 casts, the lines were impossibly tangled and they both broke apart easily when trying to repair. the hook did not properly come out of the cartridge and there is no way a fish will be caught. I feel really taken by the company that put this piece of garbage out in the marketplace. Terrible product. Please don't waste your money like I did.Customer Review: Pleased Mom

We purchased the Fogo Rocket Rod Fishing Rod (Rocket Fish to our twins) for our twin boys (almost 4 years old.) Overall they performed really well, and the boys love them. We did have one son jam the line inside the reel a couple of times, but it was easily repaired while we were still on the boat. The boys even like casting them in our back yard for fun. Our little guys can be tough on anything, and thus far their new "Rocket Fish" have held up well.Customer Review: a fishing rod?!!!

my daughters are 8 years old-this is not an item for them!!! We were all disappointed-we always go fishing, and my girls begged to have these. They shoot out about 20 feet, which is right in front of your feet, and they catch nothing!!! They do better with a rod and reel, and live bait. We have told everyone not to buy them, unless you have children who are 2 years old and want to act like they are fishing-otherwise, not worth Review: Poor designSummary: 1 Stars Don't buy it. I bought it for my 7-yr-old son. I'm going to return mine after taking it out for the first time. It only casted out a couple times and then started tangling fish line inside, line kept breaking when casting and all kind of fishing line problem. It's impossible to fix. I spent more time trying to fix the casting and fishing line than to actually do fishing. Old fashion fishing rod seems so make sense after all.

I bought 2 of these for both young children. I was impressed on how easy it was to use. For a very young child it may be a little heavy but still with some help would be manageable. Good quality, easy to use, user friendly and for the price really can not go wrong considering an average kids fishing pole/real kit runs $20+-.
Well worth the investment for those "Help dad, I caught a tree again" children. Recommended
