Teaches the alphabet, animal recognition & how to count while enhancing hand/eye coordination & motor skills? - well that description isn't likely true - however, my child IS learning proportion and size comparison, and stacking and nesting with these brightly colored boxes, which is great for a 1 year old (he has no idea what the pictures and numbers represent )- the corners are already worn from 2 months of use (it is heavy paper/cardboard stock) - but he has fun, and the price is right. buy 2 or 3 sets at that price, and free shipping, and when they get too ratty, recycle them with the paper and pull out another set!
