I had been looking around for a wood edition of Scrabble, and I finally found it on Amazon at a really good price. It is not only very attractive in its appearance, but the extra features of a turn table at the bottom of the game board and the raised lines on the board so your game pieces don't fall off were worth the purchase. All the game pieces fit in a drawer at the bottom of the game board and it can even be displayed on a table. BUT, DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM via Amazon.com from Target as the supplier !
We paid Amazon/Target for 2nd Day Air expedited shipment, some $40 on top of their $100 full price for Scrabble. Estimated delivery was 3 days at time of our order placement. BUT Target sent the item via Ground, more than doubling the delivery time to 7 days !!! Avoid Target as a third
party vendor - they are totally unreliable, cannot read the clear Amazon.com order.

We needed a "nice" holiday gift for my employer. When I learned his family's Scrabble set didn't have a turntable, I did some research. There are many sets with turntables, but this wooden deluxe set seemed very special. While expensive (for a game), it fits in nicely with their furnishings and I am told they love playing with it. I'm sure they also appreciate the real wood and quality construction that comes with this price tag. They are enjoying it and I'm glad we decided to give it as a gift.Customer Review: the best word game ever!

the premier wood scrabble luxury edition is so worth the extra money! the rotating board allows all players to easily read the board while playing- you don't have to worry about knocking letters off when trying to turn the game around so you can see! the wood makes it all the fancier and more official, and the grooves for holding the letters in place allow you to feel completely comfortable handling this classy game board!Customer Review: If you're a scrabble lover .. My husband and I LOVE Scrabble!!! This game is the best ever!!! WELL-CONSTRUCTED - WOOD - SELF-CONTAINED STORAGE. The beautiful wood base features a turntable and a drawer that stores everything. This game is a must for any Scrabble lover. The raised grid on the surface comes in extremely handy as I have a 4 and a 6 year old who love to check out the board while mommy and daddy are playing... now our tiles stay in place.
