Toys and Games Reviews of Scientific Explorer's Mind Blowing Science Kit for Young ScientistsCustomer Review: its great have a young one? into to science its wonderful Summary: 5 Stars
Purchased this for my 5 year old granddaughter for christmas. This she said out of the gazzillions of presents she got, including one of those riding atv looking things. This she annouced was her favorite thing for christmas. There are about 10 different experiments to do maybe a few more. And she loved every minute of it. I am thrilled I bought it and would love a recommendation for more kits like this. From the puny volcano, to the crystals, to the fizzing underwater volcano this kit gets 5 stars!
Customer Review: Not great. Summary: 2 Stars
My 7 year daughter was so excited until she did about 5 of the experiments. Not exciting. The funnest part was using the dropper and measuring spoon to measure the ingredients but on the instructions it says things like after adding the ingredients, now you have 2 cups of purple water. Get ready to blow your mind. Add one medium scoop of baking soda to one of the cups and stir it in. It changed color! I just wasn't that impressed and neither was my daughter, I would go with a different kind next time.
Customer Review: Great for Both My Kids! Summary: 5 Stars
My kids (daughter age 9 1/2 and son age 4 1/2 at the time) got this for Christmas last year and still enjoy the activities and science projects in it - and I have fun with them! It can get a little messy when my son wants to do some of it by himself, but we've learned a lot and had fun at the same time! My older daughter might be getting a little old for some of it, but she still liked it quite a bit. It was very exciting for the younger one, especially as he's gotten older this year.
Customer Review: Great Kit Summary: 5 Stars
So far we have done about 4 of the projects in this book. All items come neatly placed in a zip loc bag and the directions are easy to follow. I read the instructions and my 5 year old daughter follows them out. Great educational toy and gets the kids excited about science. I did wish that some of the solids (Baking soda, Citric Acid ect.) would have come in resealed bags. We had to get our own for this (which wasn't a really big deal) but it would have been nice.
Customer Review: Parent plus 3 and 4-year old fun! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this to do science projects with my 3.5 and 4.5 year old kids. They are a little young to really understand all of the concepts, but they really loved doing the science experiments. I'd read the instructions, and they would do all of the scooping, dumping, stirring, etc. We have really enjoyed it! Worth noting, though, you could probably just get a book and 1-2 ingredients not found in your home normally, and replicate all of these experiments pretty easily.
