Got this for my sons 9th bday. You will need some other things to do this like bread and geletin so get some when u pick this up! He was excited to try some and we got it out went to do it and all but two needed geletin so we couldnt do them. Plus i ran outta bread the day before so we had to wait but once we got the stuff it was fun! Gonna try the tasty science next!Customer Review: Fun and simple

Son is 5 and we had lots of fun putting this together. Good idea to keep track of the original experiment quantities if you want to repeat them down the road. Really simple stuff and probably easy to replicate without the kit, but well organized and convenient. You need access to your kitchen and some heat source. This was a gift from my mom and I loved it. I did a science project with it and had much fun. If you are thinking of buying I would say yes buy it shu shu shut your mouth just bye it.I love it it was soooo much fun to grow the bacteria and make the fake blood. The intestine was gross but I still loved to squeeze it.Customer Review: Not just for the boys!

This product was a big hit with my 9 year old nephew and with his 8 year old sister as well, as evidenced by the HUGE issue that SHE didn't get one as well! Skip Barbie for her if this is under next year's tree for the boys on your list - I think this is an adventurous toy that will appeal to both girls and boys.
