My grandson is into Thomas & Friends toys of all types so I am sure he will enjoy this flashlight. I bought it for the flashlight feature but noticed as I wrapped the gift that the package listed "Siren" as one of the features. The only possibility for the siren seemed to be the red button on the end. "Siren" sounded to me like something that would make a sound if you pushed the button. Hmmmm. No sound. I did an internet search questioning how to make the siren work and was pleased (and somewhat embarrassed) to find that it is a "whistle". The whistle works fine when you -duh- blow it! Great toy. Hope it doesn't overheat as described by other reviewers.
