I have owned a couple of Jack-in-the-Box toys and this is the only one that feels like the true classic. It plays "Pop Goes the Weasel" and is very smooth and easy to turn. Best of all, there is very little noise (no loud spring or opening mechanism) when the jester "pops" so it is more of a pleasant surprise than a startling jolt.Customer Review: Love it!

My 4 year old granddaughter asked for a jack in the box for Christmas! I got her this one because it reminded me of the old fashioned ones I got my kids years ago!
She plays with it all the time and loves it although we all thought that she would tire of it because she is 4.
It is sturdier than expected and fun!

I was very disappointed with this product. The jester popped out when it felt like it (the latch wouldn't release)and it arrived nice and dented.
Beware...they add insult to injury by having YOU PAY shipping to return a defective product!
oh, it gets one star for being in stock and the color.

I looked all over before I found the old fashion jack in the box; with Jack in the metal box and a clown it was exactly what I had been looking for. I received the item very quickly and was very satisfied with the quality. If you are looking for toys from years ago, this was the place to find them. Thanks for everything
