Kids of all ages love this toy! Should be supervised for toddlers and younger. For babies and toddlers, it teaches patience, fine motor skills, listening skills, sharing, following directions. It brings a smile every time. One 4-yr-old student loved mine so much that he saved his money and bought one of his own. This one was a great price. Just don't drop it - I broke my first one that way.Customer Review: Fun toy

I have a 3 year and 1.5 year old. Both love to play with the toy. The 1.5 year old does not like to do the hardwork of turning the lever for the jack to pop out - so she just pulls the red clip on top which makes the jack to pop out- Clever ;-)
Toy is a lot of fun (at least for the first few weeks) and my 3 year old had no problems with putting the jack back in the box.

Bought it for my grandaughter (16 months) and she loves it. Can't quite master the stuff it and close the lid technique or the crank, but then it is a great toy for both adult & child and the challenge keeps her entertained for hours. Carry's it around all the time. Sits on it while closed so it is quite strong and it is exactly what your would hope to find in a "Jack-In-The Box".Customer Review: Love it and leave it

This is a great toy...for a small amount of time. After a minute or two my son gets bored of it because it only does one thing and only plays one tune. Not great for younger kids because jack is hard to get back into the box and I think the young ones will have a hard time (sometimes I have a hard time...lol). Another child in our playgroup had this jack-in-the-box and my 3 year old daughter LOVED it. We got her one for Christmas and it is by far one of her favorite toys. She loves to make Jack pop up for her 9 month old brother who laughs at it every time. It is a great toy and is well made, ours has already endured lots of playtime and still looks great and works like a charm!
