I bought this from Amazon after checking the local toy stores for a good old fashioned jack in the box. I could'nt find anything locally that satisfied me, so I thought I'd give this one a shot from Amazon. I'm very pleased with this little bugger! Well made, classic Jack in the Box tune, and I love the way the clowns arms shoot out when he pops out of the box! Cool! He'll scare the crap out my Grandaughter the first time she tries it!Customer Review: Scares my child

Having enjoyed them as a child, I searched several toy stores for a jack in the box. However, the jack in the box scares my normally fearless 20 month old daughter. Although the music brings a smile to her face, she frightenly clutches my arm in anticipation of the surprise inside. She often brings the toy to me, but she refuses to turn the knob herself. I don't remember the suggested age for this toy, but MY daughter is too young.Customer Review: Great, Old Fashioned Fun!

This toy has a beautiful look and is very sturdy---made of metal, not plastic. The music sounds wonderful and both our sons love it! So do we---Mom and Dad! We are very happy with this toy, there is no other like it. Made the old fashioned way---to last. Bright colors and such a cute clown. I have not seen one like this since I was a little girl---many years ago! Well worth the money spent. Get one!Customer Review: Can't recommend this toy enough.

I looked at A LOT of jack in the box toys before buying this one, and this is by far the best I've seen. It's traditional, with a colorful metal box and a cloth jester. My 9 month old is fascinated by it. I've had no problems whatsoever getting it to work. And like traditional jack in the box toys, it teaches the skill of learning to play the song through before putting jack back in his box.

We love this toy for infants to toddlers. We brought it for our son when he was around 15 months old and he still loves to play with it once in a while. My younger daughter was introduced to it around 8 months old and she likes it a lot as well. This is a must have classical toy that everyone should have. I recently purchased one for a friend's son turning 1 and she likes it very much as well.
