Customer Review: Mine is called "Playful Penguin Race II" and the penguins lie down instead of stand up.

There's a wheel on the back of each penguin, and when they go down the slide, they lie on their backs. They don't stand up like they do in the YouTube videos of the original "Playful Penguin Race." I ordered the original, but I guess they stopped making it, so the seller sent me this new version. That's not the seller's fault. I'd have rated it higher if the penguins stood up like I was expecting them to do.

This toy was opened up Christmas morning and was defective as it had a missing part. Would not work without it. My grandchildren were very disappointed. I know it is a cute toy when it works properly, but remember when ordering online, you can't get quick refunds or replacements for defective merchandise. The company did give me a refund but not for several days. Had to reorder from another company.Customer Review: Lots of noisy fun

We purchased this for our 20 month old grandson, because he enjoyed our old original Penquin Race by just placing the penquins manually up and down the stairs and track. He was thrilled to see how the new one actually was supposed to work. Under supervision, it has even been a great learning tool for colors and the word "up", "down", "around" and "under". It arrived in great shape and timely fashion.Customer Review: Entertaining toy for special needs kids

I bought this toy for my 10 year old son with autism. He loves to watch the penguins in constant motion and luckily this is also a very duarable toy! It was easy to put together, and if my son can't break it no child can! We use it as an educational toy too, with different colored penguins we use sign language to identify each and also to learn how to sequence. A simple, cute, fun, durable toy.Customer Review: Fun, but noisy.

My three-year-old son requested and received this for Christmas after seeing it on the Baby Beethoven DVD. He loves it! It does make a terribly annoying sound that is pretty loud, though (I guess you don't hear that on the Baby Einstein movies!!!). My husband was able to put it together easily. It seems fairly durable, although the sign on the top of the escalator is cardboard and bends easily.
