Customer Review: Fun- but issues

Our three year old saw this at his cousins house and we all fell in love with it. We didn't find the noise an issue, but others might. The kids could watch this for ours. We did have a major issue with the battery compartment. Perhaps our was just defective, but the the compartment was just too tight a fit for the battery. There was no way to compress the spring and get the battery in at the same time. We had to take the whole front off to get the battery in. Hopefully yours is better, because we love this toy.Customer Review: WIERD TOY

Seller was fine and I would purchase from them again. Price was good and arrival prompt. The game is wierd and doesn't seem to have a point. There were only directions for assembly. All it does is transport these little penguins up the stairs then they slide down staying the same distance apart. My boys have enjoyed throwing things at the penguins to try and knock each others off. I guess this means it is durable. It seems more appropriate for children way under 7,8 and 11 but it would be a choking hazard.Customer Review: Energizer battery doesn't fit

Another reviewer mentioned having to take it apart to get the battery in. I tried that, and the battery still didn't fit. I was using an Energizer, but when I tried a different battery (happened to be rechargeable), it went in easily. My husband and I were surprised at how long we can sit and watch the penguins--they're mesmerizing! You have to experiment with the penguin in the lead though because if the slow one is first they all go at the same speed, which isn't very interesting. I bought this for my niece as punishment for brother after buying my kids annoying toys over the years. She actually wanted one with cars, but this was cooler. All the kids liked to watch it, even the teenagers. It is mesmerizing. I laughed with joy as those penguins squeaked up the hill. Then laughed harder when an adult would turn it off and then a kid would come over and turn it back on.
Kids love it. To heck with the adults.

This toy is fun for the kids to watch and play with it. They loved it at first and then that wore off in a few days as any "new" toy does. This toy is entertaining, but the sound it makes is very annoying. I wish it had a volume control button. Other than the noise it makes it is fun for my kids (age 6) to play with. It is for either a boy or a girl. I have one of each and they both like it. I would buy it again.
