I did not purchase this remote control car from Amazon but came here to "replace" it. Now, I see that my poor 5 year old nephew was not alone in the antenna breaking 10 minutes after he began playing with the car. What a shame. Was the biggest of his "pre" Christmas gifts and I will never forget his little face when the car would no longer operate. Obviously, I won't be replacing it with this model.
Just an added note here in February - again, this is a poorly constructed toy in regard to the antenna. However, if you've purchased it and the antenna broke - pull out the duck-tape. The antenna on my nephew's car broke completely apart, but his father (who is a genius) "mended" it with duck-tape. I would still recommend this car not be purchased unless you want to see a broken hearted child.
