Customer Review: OK, but could be a little better

I got this for my Dad who's eyesight is failing. Overall it's ok... he likes it. But I'd like to see it magnify more, and have a brighter light. Both magnification and light are marginal.
For someone who's eyesight is really failing, I'd look elsewhere. For occasional crossword puzzle work - and average eyesight - this would probably be great. Quality and durability are good.
P.S. I rate this three stars. For some reason, Amazon classifies this as a toy, which made the rating a little strange to do (I mean, how much "fun" can a magnifying glass really be?).
