Toys and Games Reviews of TableTopics FamilyCustomer Review: Great Dinnertime Conversation Starter Summary: 5 Stars
We love this product. It stimulates conversation amongst all of us and causes us to take a moment and think about ourselves and our responses. My kids enjoy learning things about mom and dad that they didn't already know and of course we love learning more about our kids. We use it in addition to the usual "how was your day" routine at dinner time because sometimes, no one really wants to talk about their day.
I recommend this product to anyone; to those trying to establish a family dinner or even for those people whom already have the family dinner thing down. It is a great product and we will be ordering more in the future.
Customer Review: great family dinners Summary: 5 Stars
these cards are great. these cards are perfect for starting positive conversations at the dinner table with our sons (ages 7 & 11). with the questions posed the kids have been very elaborate in their answers, we don't get the standard "good", "fine" or "i don't know". i think this is because the questions come from a card/game and the kids don't feel like their parents are grilling them with questions. the cube of questions sits right in the middle of the table - so far we've only had one milk spill at the table, but the cards were fine since the cube is made of a heavy duty plastic and kept the cards dry.
Customer Review: My kids LOVE these!!! Summary: 5 Stars
My kids LOVE these question cards. Our 7 year old requests that we use them ALL the time at meals. We also have the "Right or Wrong" edition, which are geared a little more for those older than our 18 mo, 7 and 10 year olds. The "Family Edition" works great, though, for the ages of our family at this point. We also have a 14 yo, and both editions work for his age group. I anticipate buying further editions as our family gets older. The Teen one looks entriguing......
Also, they come in a VERY nice clear cube to hold all of the cards. Very sturdy. And attractive!
Customer Review: Good for familes with older children Summary: 4 Stars
My children are 5, 8 and 11. We have been using these cards for about a week. I have to skip over some before I can find one that all of my children will understand and be able to contribute their opinions too that is why I say this is for older children (I think 10 and up would understand all of the cards) It is something that we can use for years though and I am sure their answers will change as they grow.
I feel the item is overpriced. If the cards were priced at $10-15 I would buy other sets. I paid $27 on here right before the holiday season.
Customer Review: Learn about your kids Summary: 5 Stars
This is the greatest tool ever to "get inside" your kids' or grandkids' heads! A wonderful dinner table game for all the family to learn about each other's values, ideals, and insights. A question such as "Is it more important to have a good friend or to be a good friend?" can start a whole hour's worth of discussion, just one of a whole packful of questions which can trigger an indepth teaching and learning discussion. Recommend very highly!
