We have 6 children and we just started using Table Topics. It has been such a joy to get to listen to the responses to the questions from each family member. We have had some fun conversations that have had us laughing so hard. Usually, our 3 year old is the one that comes up with something completely off the wall that has us in stitches. :) It has really transitioned our meals from boring to fun and memorable. Yes, you could make these yourself, but truly, who has time to come up with all the questions and make the little cards when you are raising a family? The box they come in is really nice and durable, too and looks nice on the table. :)
Oh, another nice aspect of this game is that you can also use it to help teach your children to be respectful in listening to each others answers and to take turns. We have had issues with that and I *hope* this will help in that department. I have noticed them doing better while playing the game.
I would highly recommend this to families for regular family meals, or even for when you have company over. It is a great way to get to know your family. :)
