Customer Review: A horrible purchase of a horrible toy

I wanted to get Toto in the basket for my grandson. I looked on line and the photo of this stuffed dog looked perfect, with a very cute Toto-type face all covered with whisters. When I received it in the mail, I was appalled. Not only did the dog look absolutely nothing like the photo, but also it was frighteningly ugly. Its face was bald, one of its eyes was higher than the other on the dogs face, the eyes were almond shaped and slanted unlike the round eyes in the picture (eyes like the real Toto has), the dog was unable to stand up, its head was attached crookedly onto its body so that it looked like its spine was twisted and in general, looked mangy and completely unappealing. My grandson would have been frightened of it. I showed it to others who agreed with my assessment of this abhorrent stuffed thing.Customer Review: Cute addition to a Dorothy Costume!

I am 24 and had my husband order this for my Dorothy costume. Toto in a basket is a must, not only because it completes the costume, but because it makes a great purse. The dog I got doesn't look at all like the picture, but I was expecting that because it's clearly said in the info. My dog looks kinda weird, his head is considerably smaller in proportion to his body but I liked him anyway. He is small enough to leave room in the basket for your cell phone, keys, camera, make up and whatever you want to carry with you that night. The basket is sturdy and very well made, and I will use it in the future for other costumes or decorations around the house. Overall it was a good buy, it got a lot of compliments at the Halloween party I attended and it definitely pulled together my Dorothy look.Customer Review: Decent for the price I paid

I got this toy for my 1 1/2 yr old granddaughter for this past Christmas. The basket hinges and flaps are a bit flimsy & awkward to use, but for the price I paid it really isn't such a bad deal. The dog is cute, but of course it will need a bit of a brushing after you open it.
The basket helps with educational purposes too. We use the basket to put in our pretend food and go shopping. As we put the food items in and out of the basket we count them out, go over colors, and what food item it is. The dog will help with learning how to take care of pets. We feed it, brush it, and even play with it.
Overall I would recommend this item to others. Remember you can make ANY toy educational as long as you incorporate learning into play :)
Customer Review: Perfect addition to the Dorothy halloween costume

My 6 year old granddaughter will be Dorothy this year. I have made her outfit, found ruby shoes and just needed the final touch...toto. This is not a toy to be played with much as the basket is kind of flimsy and my daughter got a splinter from the handle which should be remedied by spraying with a gloss protector. It will also keep the basket a bit more durable. Toto is a perfect size, a little scruffy but adorable. The basket has enough room for her to put her candy in at the time but her mother plans on then taking it out, putting into a bigger bag after she leaves the house. It is the perfect accessory for her costume and will be sure to cause people to go "ah".Customer Review: Super Cheapie

As many reviewers have noted, the basket and the dog really aren't of the quality shown in the sales picture. Yes, the actual dog looks more like a weasel with matted hair or some manner of river rat. The dog needs to be placed 'just so' in the basket, so the basket doesn't tip forward too much when hanging over the arm. But seriously, for $11.00? It suits my need for my daughter's costume for a Halloween Parade and Halloween itself. It's just hardly the quality shown in the picture and potential buyers should be aware of this.
