Customer Review: Difficulty deciding- Infant VS. Toddler size

I have a 9 month old who is pretty chunky. His head is in the 75th percentile. After reading many reviews stating that the infant head piece was too small, I ordered the toddler size.
The head piece was far too large but it worked because you can attach the strap wherever you need to with the scratchy side of the velcro, then tuck the soft end under and out of the way. It looked great, just like the toddler picture (the kid who is standing up)and it didn't come undone all night.
The robe, however, was HUGE! He was absolutely swimming in it but it was okay because he isn't walking yet. I cut 3-4 inches off the sleeves and his arms still didn't stick out. It did not fray where I cut it because it's made of a cheap synthetic fabric. There is a brown vest type thing which is attached to the robe that you pull over the baby's head.
Overall, if you have a baby with a big head, go with this larger size and make some adjustments rather than risk getting a head piece that's too small.
Everyone thought he was adorable and it'll work next year if we want to dress him up as Yoda again. : )

On the package it states that Newborn is for 0 - 9 months, Infant for 6-12 months and toddler for ages 1-2. I think this is probably pretty accurate. My son is 18 months old, and is 12 month or 18 month pants and shirts, not anywhere near the 2-4T size for the toddler outfit. This outfit fits him perfectly, however. There is room in the headpiece without being too roomy, and the robe comes close to his ankles without the risk of dragging on the floor. I hope this helps, I would have been sorry to buy the infant for him since he wears so many 12 month pants, I'm sure it would have been too small for him. Otherwise I think it's a great outfit so far, arrived in good condition, nice fleece robe that's easy to put on and headpiece is fastened by velcro.Customer Review: Made my little boy happy, but won't last.

This costume looks adorable on my 3 year old, who wore it for his birthday party (and nearly every day since). I liked it better than other options because it has a hat instead of a full mask (most of which look creepy). It is easy to put on and comfortable for him to wear, since it is made of fleece. However, the fabric is already piling quite a bit and one seam is starting to tear. It has been through the washer in a lingerie bag, and the tag recommends hand washing, so that may be my fault. Overall, very cute but not made to last.Customer Review: YODA!

My son was drafted into being Yoda for Halloween - and this costume served the purpose well. We had to pay $16 for it at Halloween, but it was worth it to see how people reacted to his costume. I will guarantee you this, Yoda never moved as fast as my son did in this costume! Good deal considering the options.Customer Review: Small head-piece

I bought this Yoda costume for my 2 year old. The robe fits him perfectly, but the head-piece is ridiculously tight. I'm pretty sure my kid doesn't have an abnormally large head. The velcro tab under the chin is a way too snug, so I'm going to have to extend it somehow. Other than that, the costume is great.
