Toys and Games Reviews of Harry Potter Wand with light and soundCustomer Review: My son is inseparable from this wand. Summary: 5 StarsMy seven-year-old son loves this wand, though you should know he listens to the Harry Potter series on tape from the library ALL THE TIME. We ordered it for his birthday after receiving an Amazon gift certificate. We read the reviews that said it was piece of cheap plastic c**p, so that's what we were expecting. It did not break right away, but the light stopped working after about a week's constant use. I took apart the body of the wand and taped the wire back in place with electrical tape, and it has worked fine for the past two months. Being the only toy, in the history of my two children, that wasn't ignored after a few days, I would say it is easily the best value for the money in toyland that we've experienced. (Though, to be honest, it is a hunk of cheap-looking plastic, and the noise will drive you crazy.)
Customer Review: Much better than expected Summary: 5 StarsThis is a suprisingly entertaining and durable toy enjoyed by my 9 year old daughter. It is a solid feeling molded plastic wand which makes one of a few sounds and light flash when it's sharply shaken or when it lightly touches something.
Customer Review: Cute wand Summary: 3 StarsThis is a fun wand for kids, it makes noise and lights up with movement. My son has been casting spells for weeks, waiting for halloween. My only complaints are that the wand is quite thick; it's more like a branch than a stick! And there is no on/off switch. You have to unscrew the battery case and remove the batteries if the sounds drive you crazy! But it seems sturdy and my son loves it.
Customer Review: Cute toy, fun sounds! Summary: 4 StarsThe wand with sound and light isn't what I was expecting, but we have enjoyed it. I knew it lit up and was expecting it to be more of a flashlight, but it actually lights when you "cast spells" with it. The action of your arm movement causes it to light and make "magical" sounds. It has 3 different sounds that it makes. It has been fun-I'm as big a kid when it comes to stuff like this as my children are!
Customer Review: Harry Potter wand Summary: 3 StarsThis was a Christmas present and it was very well received. I researched other ones and this one had the best features.
