Customer Review: Look elsewhere for luxe...

I bought this product for my almost 5 year old son, and paid appr. $[...] plus shipping. while he loves it I found two major flaws - first the seams were so poorly sewn I had to mend no less than 8 holes even before my son was able to wear it. Second, the cape hangs around the neck creating a strangulation hazard, and this is especially so because the cape is long and gets easily stuck. Come on - superman doesn't walk or sit - he flies, jumps and runs! I cut the cape open in the front and sew snap buttons on the shoulders so that it falls off if it gets stuck. velcro would work too. Bottom line - I spent hours fixing a brand new suit and would never have ordered it knowing that. Unfortunately it was too late to return and buy another one. Oh, and I agree with the other reviewer that it is not red at all - much more maroon than the pictures indicate. I still give it 2 stars because my son is absolutely loving it.
