We purchased this whip for our son who wanted to learn about whips after watching Indiana Jones. The whip was inexpensive so we decided that if he tore it up no loss.
The whip did lose the tip piece after a few cracks but he is still enjoying it and learning how to do a few tricks without costing us a fortune!

If you are a fan of Indy, this whip won't let you down. If you have this, buy the hat,(witch I don't have)and the satchel. I will be going on vacation, and will go rafting, and maybe horse-back riding, witch my mom says are Indy adventures. Pretty much exactly what you'd expect: not a real whip, but it looks enough like the real thing to go with any costume requiring one. Doesn't actually "crack" or work against lions/bad guys, but it doesn't fall apart if you try it, either. Like I said: durable costume prop.Customer Review: Definitely for costume use only

My sister bought this for her son, and it fell apart within a week. He liked to snap it in the air. The leather rope pieces came untied. Product is flimsy and really made only as a costume accessory as the description of it says. It was a good buy for the money though.Customer Review: Authentic with a problem

We were so excited when the whip arrived. It lasted for about a week before breaking off in the middle. We took it to a shoe repair shop and were told the leather had dry rotted and there was no way to reweave or fix. Very disappointing since it really looks authentic.
