Most toy whips I have seen at party supply stores and toy stores do not appear to be as tightly braided together as this bullwhip, making this item a better purchase in the long run. Given the overall design though, I would not suspect this toy to last me as long as a regularly crafted bullwhip is suppose to. Regardless, it sure is fun to hear and feel the whip fling by you as you crack it! And yes, this product is educational with respect to flying objects hitting you if you are not too careful :) I also appricate the simple packaging; nothing more than a twisty tie and the wrapping product tag.Customer Review: great for the price

This whip is able to "crack" like a real whip. Because it is so inexpensive, the end has broken a few times. We have used electrical tape to fix it and my son is fine with it. It still works and it looks like a "real Indiana Jones Whip." My son has used it again and again and again and he still loves it. We have had it for almost a year. It is pretty beat up. If you are looking to get a high quality whip, this is definately not it. If you are looking to get a fun toy for a child that wants a whip like Indiana Jones and you are looking for it to not cost a lot...this is definately your whip!!Customer Review: Crack-erjack whip!

Got this whip for a cowboy costume, had it a couple weeks before Halloween and got a lot of really awesome cracks out of it! The end of the whip eventually unraveled and the cracker fell off and I had to tape it back on, but I could still get some cracks out of it. Handle got a little flimsy after a while, but I think we were putting more strain on the whip than it was originally intended for. It will eventually fall apart, but mine lasted quite a while. I got this whip for part of my Halloween costume. It doesn't look great (like spray painted recycled shoe leather) but for one night a year, I don't really care about looks. It actually cracks pretty good, and it is incredibly fun to play around with. But after only a few uses, it's starting to fall apart. the leather is either ripped or peeling (yes, peeling), revealing coarse hairs underneath all that leather.
Overall, great buy...if you don't expect to use it.

Very disappointing. I purchased this item for my son who has an infatuation with whips, and it started falling apart within an hour of receiving it! The first time he "popped" the whip, the popper fell off, and then everything else just started to unravel. He had to wait for this item for two weeks to earn it, and then he only was able to enjoy it for such a short time. To say the least we were disappointed and wouldn't recommend it to anyone!!
