IIRC, this kit first appeared in 1961. It appears to be a modification of Revells HMS Bounty kit, which makes it quite inaccurate. For example, the Beagle did not have a blunt merchantman-like hull shape like the Bounty.
Posters on ship modeling internet forums lambaste this kit as one of Revell's most inaccurate models. People say it is like taking a model of a Ford Pickup, changing the markings, color, and box art, and calling it a Chevy El Camino.
