Toys and Games Reviews of Radio Flyer Retro RocketCustomer Review: Retro Rocket is clear for takeoff! Summary: 5 Stars
My son got this when he was about eight and a half months old. I thought it looked really fun, so I immediately took it out of the package. Though he wasn't old enough yet to use it for its intended purpose, he loved pushing the buttons to start. He grew to eventually crawl over it, back and forth, pushing the buttons each time, and eventually push the rocket forward. Now, 4 months later, he's finally sitting on it. Still doesn't know to ride it, but he sits on it and he is as fascinated with it as the day he got it.
Great toy - it unexpectedly grew with my son, so I am thrilled.
Customer Review: Very cool!! Summary: 5 Stars
My 1 year old loves this toy. She is not yet walking, but can push herself all over the house on our wood floors very easily and smoothly. The seat is wide enough that it is hard to fall off. My husband got this for her for Christmas. She was 9 months at the time. It only took a few weeks for her to figure it out. She loves pushing the buttons ("welcome to Jupiter", "3,2,1 Blast-off!", "Retro-Rocket you're cleared for take-off".....) When my husband picked it up at the hardware store the clerk said, "You're son is going to love this." He said, "No my DAUGHTER is going to love this!"
Customer Review: wonderful toy Summary: 5 Stars
I read all the reviews on this toy before purchasing. The rocket was a gift for my one year old son. He loves it and so does our three year old daughter. The size is perfect for him at this age and will still be good for him to grow into over the next couple of years. We like that the wheels don't turn, it keeps him from getting upset when he can't push it because the wheels won't stay straight like some of the other ride on toys. The rocket may seem expensive, but it does seem very durable and I know we will have it for years. This is truly a great toy and I'm glad I got it for my child.
Customer Review: This toy is enjoyed by kids of all ages Summary: 4 Stars
While I was initially dissapointed that the toy was made of plastic instead of typical Radio Flyer metal, I am sure it is safer that way. I purchased it for my one year old's first birthday and it is his first ride-on toy. He loves it! He does not actually ride it yet, but loves to sit on it and push the buttons, push it around and place his toys in the secret compartment under the seat. He also gets a kick out of the vibrations when it simulates take off. This toy draws the attention of all of the children who come to visit, and I am certain it will be enjoyed for many years to come.
Customer Review: Great for smaller riders! Summary: 4 Stars
This was a xmas gift for my one year old. He immediately liked it. He likes to push it around, push the buttons and hear the cool sounds and vibration and open/close the seat (and put things inside) as well as push it around and look at the lights on the back. There are lots of things to 'do' with this toy.
Now to the riding.... it is one of the few ride-on toys that a younger toddler can get on and off themselves. From early on he was able to get on it and push himself around.
Last but not least, it looks very cool!
