Toys and Games Reviews of Radio Flyer Pathfinder WagonŽ, RedCustomer Review: Favorite red wagon. Summary: 5 Stars
My son got this for his first birthday, and just in time too. He was starting to not like being in his stroller for very long, especially if it wasn't moving. He loves his wagon. Has worked great for picnics and a day at the zoo. Much easier to manuever than a double stroller. I didn't have any trouble pulling it over bumps or grass. The seat belts and high backs are a must for little ones who haven't figured out how to hold on yet. Great for big kids too who can get in and out on their own. The cup holders are great for holding drinks and snacks. It is large enough for two kids and all of their gear. Yet I can easily get it in the trunk of my mid sized car. I also like it for when my son gets dirty or makes a mess with his snack. I can hose the wagon off, I would have a much harder time cleaning a stroller. I highly recommend this wagon.
Customer Review: Love this wagon!! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this wagon only last week but used it over the weekend when we took my 15 month old apple picking. My opinions about this wagon:
** Very easy to put together. The body comes whole so you basically just have to install the seatbelts, wheels and handle.
** Very safe for kids once belted in.
** Pulls & Pushes very easily even in small spaces.
** Can make sharp turns without flipping.
** Works great on uneven terrain. We pulled this wagon through the entire apple orchard and pumpkin patch with no problems at all.
** Durable construction!
** Quiet all rubber wheels
** Handle stays up when not pulling/ pushing and folds under wagon for storage.
** Fits in trunk of Jeep Grand Cherokee with just enough room for bags and other non-bulky items.
I love this wagon!!
Customer Review: A Big Disappointment Summary: 1 Stars
We had great expectations when we bought this wagon. One year later we are extremely disappointed. The ride is very rough and the front wheels wobble terribly whenever we try to move quickly. I called Radio Flyer about this problem and they sent two new front axles as a fix. However, because of the way the wheels are installed, it was not an easy fix and did not solve the problem. The wagon is hard to maneuver and gets 'stuck' going over curbs and cracks in the sidewalk. To add to this, my kids (age 2 & 4) are too big for the wagon! Their legs get all tangled up because the leg wells are too small. Finally, there is no extra storage, so when we go on outings I have nowhere to stow my bag, the lunchbag, etc. I have decided to cut my losses, sell this one to the consignment shop and get a Step 2 wagon with the little trailer attachment.
Customer Review: The BEST Wagon out there! Summary: 5 Stars
My son received this wagon for his first birthday and can't get enough of it. The wagon is extremely durable because it is made of plastic. The seat belts provide safety no other wagon provides. It has 2 seats just perfect for him and a friend, or you can put the seat back down and make a table for him to play with toys. Add a sippy cup to one of the four cup holders and you are set for a LONG ride in this wagon! It's perfect for little trips to the mail box (however, I wouldn't encourage this if you have a wagon lover! You'll need to AT LEAST go around the block to prevent a meltdown!) Both seat backs fold down providing storage underneath and baby can still ride inside the wagon so long as they don't climb out. I LOVE this wagon and so does my son. PERFECT gift for anyone who has a child that LOVES to go places!
Customer Review: Nice, but front wheels blow chunks Summary: 3 Stars
This is a really nice wagon except for the fact that the front wheels caster and are not connected to the handle like most other wagons. What this means is that steering and maneuvering--especially in tight spaces like the garage--is REALLY, REALLY difficult. Supposedly the free castering front wheels are a safety feature to prevent inadvertant tip-overs when making tight turns on steep terrain. But it is one of those safety features which really reduces the utility of the wagon and takes much of the pleasure out of pulling it. Chances are that your kids won't notice anything at all (at least not the little ones), but you most certainly will notice how clumsy this thing moves. My advice: Get a wagon where the wheels are steered by moving the handle. That'd be the same basic type that was around when you were a kid.
