Toys and Games Reviews of Radio Flyer Pathfinder WagonŽ, RedCustomer Review: Great wagon! Summary: 5 Stars
This was a wonderful purchase. After reading other reviews and comparing prices I chose to purchase the Radio Flyer Pathfinder wagon from Amazon.com, and am very pleased. The price included the shipping, and was much less than other places.
Assembly was incredibly easy, though I did need to contact the manufacturer for a replacement part. The manufacturer was very pleasant and sent the piece immediately, at no cost to me.
The seat belt feature is great for keeping a one year old in place during rides. I especially like that the pull handle is extra long and snaps in an upright position when not in use, or tucks under the wagon for space saving storage. The longer length of the pull handle allows ease of pulling without getting clipped in the heel, even by a tall adult. The wheels roll easily.
Any spills and messes by little ones can be very easily cleaned. Being as there are drain holes in the floor of the wagon a hose down is very simple.
Only draw-back could be that the person in the wagon cannot use the handle to steer while going downhill at break-neck speed. Should one want to be such a dare-devil.
I highly recommend this wagon.
Customer Review: INCREDIBLE SAFETY HAZARD. DON'T BUY THIS WAGON. Summary: 1 Stars
The wagon is fine, but the "seatbelts" are a complete joke and dangerous to boot.
They are installed with cheap, plastic bolts that screw into equally cheap plastic fittings that you punch in to holes in the wagon. The instructions direct you to use a screwdriver, which bends and strips the screws to make them useless.
The straps pop off of the securing mechanism about 10 seconds into the ride. My kids (14 mos. and 3 years--well within the recommended ages for this wagon) were standing up and trying to get out while we were pulling the wagon. They were able to rip the seatbelts out of their fittings without any effort whatsoever.
This is INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS. Kids are designed to stand up in a moving vehicle--it's in their DNA. A child could very easily fall out of a moving wagon and be injured. You wouldn't know it's happening because as the "driver", your back is to the kids.
DON'T BUY THIS WAGON. IT'S A SAFETY HAZARD.
I love the "how durable is this toy"? question. In this case, it lasted about 10 seconds. Radio Flyer is going to hear from me about this dangerous, unsafe toy.
Customer Review: WONDERFUL WAGON!! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this wagon for my developmentally-delayed three year old daughter. She absolutely LOVES it!! She enjoys buckling herself into the wagon (a nice reinforcement for the car seat). Just yesterday, she was also buckling in Bumble (her favorite stuffed animal).
A few weeks ago, we went to the greenhouse and my daughter chose her own plants for the gardon. She put them in the wagon and took care of them as I continued to shop. This wagon allowed her to participate at the greenhouse (without it, I would have left her at home).
Now, she continues to enjoy her wagon in our yard and on our trips around town. [It's as close to four-wheeling as she'll come for QUITE a while :)] I ESPECIALLY like the seat belts and high backs. Given our medical struggles of the past, I need to security of the extra protection these items provide.
While the wagon is not cheap, it IS fairly priced. My husband put the wagon together pretty easily, and the wagon is not too heavy to get into the back of my minivan (although it IS big).
I HIGHLY recommend this item. (But only, of course, for children old enough to hold their heads and torsos upright.)
Customer Review: Radio Flyer Pathfinder Wagon Summary: 5 Stars
On the positive side...We love this wagon! It has taken the place of my double stroller for my 11 month old and my 2 1/2 year old. It's easier to maneuver than a stroller and easier to get the kids in and out. The option of seats with seat belts is a must for little kids who wouldn't otherwise be able to use a wagon. Other postives are that the handle stays upright when you push it all the way up, and there's a little groove underneath the back of the wagon to make it easy to grab and lift up over curbs. On the negative side...with the seats in use, there's not much room to tuck the diaper bag, snack bag or whatever, so packing light is a good idea. And, of course, the seats don't recline, so sleepy kids need to find other ways to get comfortable. We've also had a couple squirmishes over whose feet go where since they're all in the middle. I also tried to use the wagon with two toddlers and the baby in the seat, but it was too tight for three kids. Overall, I'm thrilled with this wagon. And, by the way, I found it in a store near me for about half the price I would've paid if it were shipped to me. It's worth it to shop around.
Customer Review: Best Wagon out on the Market for both Parents & Children!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
My daughter received this wagon for Christmas and we've both loved using it! I love that the wagon comes with seatbacks & seatbeats, it has 4 cup holders that are also designed to hold juice boxes. I am 5 feet 11 inches tall & the wagon's handle is just right height for pulling the wagon. What is also nice is that the 2 front wheels are on casters so that you can move the wagon around VERY easily.
You can have your child sit in the wagon with the setbacks up which gives your 1 year old & older a nice place to sit with room for their legs. You can fold down the seatbacks & have the regular old fashion type of wagon that we grew up with. This is just the coolest wagon around!
Oh, the instructions where easy to read too! If you purchase this wagon you won't be disappointed, because when your children stop using you can easily use it to get mulch, plants, stones or bags of dirt, pool chemicals from your car to your backyard! Because the wagon is made using a hard plastic it is very easy to clean, just spray down with the hose the water runs out the 2 drain holes in the bottom!
