Toys and Games Reviews of Radio Flyer My 1st Scooter Red
Customer Review: For tall 2 year olds - not short ones. Summary: 3 Stars
Just bought this for my 2 year old daughter, as she's been admiring her older sister's Razor for a while and wanted her own. This one said ages 2-5 so I thought this one might work. She is on the petite side, a little under 33 inches and the handle bars are at the height of her neck so she had to reach up to grab them and if she puts one food down to move it, she has a hard time reaching the handle bars. Will look for something adjustable I guess or wait another year.
Customer Review: great for first scooter! Summary: 5 Stars
My 2 year old little girl wanted a scooter because her brother has one so I got her this one. She has done so well with it. You of course have to be careful about watching them until they understand how to use it, but my son's scooter only has one thin wheel in the front and back and it was so unsteady. This is steady, it is durable, it fits her and she is only 2! If you are looking for a stable, easy to ride scooter this is the one! This is as stable as it gets for scooters.
Customer Review: Great learning scooter Summary: 5 Stars
My two year old son always wants to do what his six year old brother does...to include getting on the scooter. This was a great scooter for my 2 yr old to learn on. As soon as he got on it, he was able to scoot away. The wide wheel-base and durable construction gave him the confidence he needed to be able to learn how to use it and scoot with ease. If you are looking for a great "scooter with training wheels" (so to speak), this is a great and inexpensive buy!
Customer Review: Radio Flyer looks good less fun Summary: 2 Stars
This product looked promising. My daughter is currently using a fantastic scooter that was a handmedown and it is ready to die. G-ma bought this for easter for her and my daughter will not use. She can't steer without the feeling of tipping over. The front wheel look sturdy but don't provide the balance needed for a 5 year old to keep it up. I had other children try it as well and each one abandoned it for a different scooter. Looks good less fun.
My 3 yr old son got this for his birthday. he does really enjoy using it however I feel like it was made poorly. the entire thing is plastic....even the wheels which should be rubber. I think it is fine for the money however I do not think it will last as long as other radio flyer items I have purchased. I am really surprised they constructed this toy so cheaply. the fold up feature is nice and I think the wide platform is great for young riders.
