Ordered this scooter as a Christmas gift for my two-year-old nephew. After ordering, I was told he had received a scooter for his birthday in October. It wasn't the same kind so I decided to give it to him anyway. He LOVES this scooter! He rode it the same day and constantly asks for it. It's very sturdy and he rides it easily on his own. It's not going to go very fast and will not turn, but that's why it's so great for this age. He does not ride his other scooter. This is an excellent toy of good quality. I wish I had more children to order it for!Customer Review: durable, well worth the money!

My son got this last christmas when he was 1. Not only does he used it everyday, my 5year old likes it too. (i suspect it's to aggravate the younger!) MY now 2 year old rides it down the hill in our drive way and all over the house. at times, they both have been on it, and the scooter has held up. It's been dropped from our 2nd story deck and survived. We have a loop that goes around our kitchen, pantry, and stairway, he is able to maneuver through all the obsticles, including cat and dog with no trouble. I purchased three of these scooters. One for my son and one for each of my newphews (all in the 3 1/2-4 year old range). Right out of the package, they unfolded them (nice and compact for storage) and knew exactly what to do with them. Though none of them have ever ridden a scooter before, it took no time at all for them to figure it out. The wide foot pad is great for little feet to stand on and they maintain great control with them. We've always been pleased with Radio Flyer items and this one is no exception. My son received this as a gift for his second birthday and learned to ride it very quickly. The base is wide and very sturdy with the three wheels so I feel comfortable with him riding it. However, he can't get it going very fast, and there is no gliding on it at all. You have to constantly push off with your feet to keep moving. If you push off and stand like the older kids do on their scooters, it will stop almost immediately. Overall, it's fun and safe, but at 3 years old now, he's ready for the next step in scooters.Customer Review: Worth Every Penny.....

Initially, I wasn't too keen about a plastic scooter. However, I took a chance and am so glad I did. My 3 year old grandson is just delighted with this scooter and rides it constantly. It really is durable and has provided hours of fun for him. He rides it inside and out. He has learned to balance it and zooms along. He does have some trouble steering, but I don't know if that is a scooter issue or just something he still has to master. I enjoy watching him have so much fun and would recommend this without hesitation.
