I am pleased to say that my grandson was delighted to receive this scooter recently for his 3rd birthday. I loved the fact that the base is so wide and more stable than other scooters that I had looked at for that age group.
Another plus is that it folds quite easily which makes it great to put in the car and take along to the park. Three year olds are so excited to be able to ride a scooter, especially when they see the older kids on them. Customer Review: Handle bar is stiff

Honestly, my boys will ride it for a block (they are now 4), and then will be done with it. It's just too stiff. They try to turn the handles and the wheels won't turn more than an inch left or right. I think the reason is that the part are all plastic. I like that they fold up, but that's about it. I wish I would have bought one with two wheels and one in the front! I have seen that style made without all plastic and I think it would ride better. They are pretty slow. With that being said, my 2 year old can ride it by himself and likes it for a minute or two. But a boy that wants a real ride, I would look for something else.Customer Review: Excellent first scooter choice

This scooter is a good purchase for little ones new to using a scooter. Someone had stated about the handle bars not turning too far or too easily, but they are functional and perfect for a beginner/toddler and helps keep accidents at bay. The wide base and double front wheels are also good for this reason and not very likely to tip when used properly. My son even uses this in the house without causing a commotion or damage due to it's controlled ride and non-marring wheels! Goes well in the grass also! This scooter is a winner and a great start before upgrading to the "big kid" scooter.Customer Review: Toddler loves it!

I was thrilled to find this age-appropriate scooter for my 1 1/2 year old. I have a 4 year old that has a razor scooter and we would put my 1 1/2 year old on it and push him around. He would cry when we took him off, so we decided he should have his own.
This scooter is stable (only for little bodies, though) since it has 3 wheels and goes slow enough so he can learn how to use it properly. He quickly got the hang of it and feels like a "big boy" riding around with the other kids on theirs! It's also durable for all of those times it just gets dragged around and knocked over.

I got this for my daughter when she was 25 months old because she seemed very interested in scooters and I love Radio Flyer products. She is now 27 months old and still doesn't use it much. I'm not sure if it is a gender issue or the scooter is simply not as much fun. It is stable and durable but the front wheels turn only a few degrees. It can be frustrating for a toddler to try to turn a vehicle and fail, or get stuck in a corner. It is easier to ride than a tricyle in the beginning, but now that SBA is strong enough to pedal, she seems more interested in the tricycle.
