This was bought for our little girls 3rd birthday because it is pink. Her older brothers have real razors and for a while she would try to use their old Diego scooter (until it was stolen). So she has a model and is motivated to do what they do.
This scooter is front heavy, and I do not find it any more stable (for a 3 yr. old) than the old Diego scooter with two back wheels.
I wish I had bought the huffy or razor jr. because she will outgrow this one very soon. This would have been perfect at 2. But then, at 2 she was playing with the her brothers old huffy scooter.
To sum up: Less coordinated/new to razors - buy whatever.
More experienced - buy the huffy or razor.

Our 3 year old neighbor has owned the red version of this scooter for quite some. Our daughter had always been very fond of it, so we decided to get her one of her own for her birthday. When we found out that there was a pink version of the scooter, we knew that we were golden!
The tough part of riding a typical scooter for a 3 year old is balance. This scooter has two wheels in the front that gives it excellent stability. Also, the steering has limited range of motion to keep the rider from turning too fast and losing balance. Needless to say, this is the perfect scooter for our sometimes clumsy 3 year old daughter. :-)

We had gotten this scooter because our daughters older sister got a regular scooter for her birthday and she keeps trying to take it, so she now has her own and loves it. It didnt take long for her to stand with both feet on the wide base, the unit does not tip easily, and its easy to push around with the big wheels. overall it is a sutrdy piece of equipment and look forward to getting more use out of it until our toddler is ready for a regular scooter.. only drawback is that I want my girls to learn to ride bikes (like mom and dad) but they have no interest in bikes now, they are having to much fun on the scooters.Customer Review: 4 Year Old Borthday Present

My daughter was excited to get a scooter for her birthday, but I was =nt sure she could balance on a razor scooter yet. I did some looking for a beginner-scooter and found this one. I like the wide base so she can put 2 feet next to each other on the base while she glides. I also like that this scooter, unlike other models, has the 2 wheels in the front. On scooters with 2 wheels in the back, kids can bang their ankles when they try to push the scooter.
All in all, this is a great product. I think I should have bought it earlier, as I get the sense she will outgrow it quickly and want a regular scooter.

Our daughter received this for her second birthday and she loves it! Her bday was in September and she is just now really getting into it and learning how to push along with one of her legs. I think the quality is great. Yes, it does not turn easily but that is how you keep the younger kids from falling off! It's a starter scooter that helps them learn to kick off and get the confidence to move onto a bigger scooter, it's definitely not made for older children who can ride bikes or regular scooters already. I love the wide standing board and my daughter is having a blast with it! Oh, and the pink is adorable!
