Toys and Games Reviews of Radio Flyer Classic Walker WagonCustomer Review: An Instant Hit for 10 Month Old Summary: 5 Stars
Our 10 month old daughter is just starting to walk with support. I bought this for her as an aid and toy. My husband assembled it in under 20 minutes so it was relatively easy to put together. She started playing with it immediately and it continues to be one of her favorites. It has been the best in terms of size and encouragement of all the walking toys I have bought for her. She also enjoys climbing into it and having us push her around. She is average size for her age and she currently fits in it with some room for other toys. I'd say for her age the fit is perfect. The bumper on the front is just plastic but it does help preserve walls, furniture, etc. when she bumps into things. For the money, very good quality and a great purchase overall. Highly recommend.
Customer Review: Fun, but also frustrating Summary: 3 Stars
We bought this toy because of rave reviews and so I wanted to weigh in with a slight negative. It is fun for the baby but can be very frustrating, too. It's been a little bit hard for him to maneuver, especially on carpet. Most of the time he'd rather have us push him around in it than push it himself, which can be hard on mommy's lower back after a while! Because it often leads to frustration, we end up keeping it out of sight most of the time and just bringing it out once in a while. Also, if you don't have good open space (where you're not negotiating around the couch or up and down a narrow patio, for example), turning it can be a little tough. This is definitely a toy that requires hands-on help from parents at least until kids are 18 months or older.
Customer Review: good idea, but not worth the 70 bucks Summary: 2 Stars
We got this push walker in hopes that the weight and bulkiness would give my daughter who is cruising the confidense to start walking with it. Unfortunately the non swivel wheels combined with the weight make it nearly impossible to turn for me, let alone my 11 month old. It is really sturdy and well built but the 'clickers' that are supposed to give it resistance are to soft and they really dont work at all.(i think with all the complaints of the clickers breaking off and becoming a choking hazard they changed the compasition of the plastic to soft plastic so they cant break and in turn fails to its job.) I really do like this as a wagon to have the older, stronger kids play with and put things into but not very good for babies who are just starting to walk.
Customer Review: great for learning to walk Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for my daughter for her first birthday and she loves it! She was close to walking but didn't quite have the confidence to try even a few steps on her own. We had an old walker to that just went too fast on our wood/tile floors for her to keep up. This walker wagon has the perfect amount of resistance in the wheels (they make a clicking sound) so that the wagon doesn't move faster than baby can. There are so many pluses: Good for indoor and outdoor use, stable, well made, easy assembly, serves as a little wagon too. We went around the block a few times the first week we had it! She just kept trucking along, so proud of her new found mobilty. Withing two weeks of use, she was walking on her own and I haven't been far behind ever since.
Customer Review: Walker wagon Summary: 5 Stars
The baby LOVES this wagon. He will spend hours playing with this thing, fills it with his toys and pushes them around and unloads them, reloads them and pushes again, so funny to watch. Climbs into it and waits to be pushed. He has 12 year old and 8 year old siblings who love to push him around in it. This has turned out to be great for our family, as parents we all know toys are hit and miss with kids, this one was definitely a hit. Very durable and has a little safety feature that makes it resistant to movement while he is climbing in and out. The wood sides are removable, which he seems to like. It does not turn on it's own, which makes it a little hard to use on the carpets, but on solid flooring it is easy to turn. Glad we got this one!
